That will be test. Can he do what Saban has done and evolve and roll with the punches, that includes coaching turnover, player attrition, game style changes, etc. He's already shown that he's a bit hard headed in terms of changing his style of play but it hasn't quite back fired yet. I think Dabo would be the best comparison, he got to the top and hasn't seemed to weather the storm that followed it real well (though that could always change). I just think Kirby is the one we will probably see do it well.

I'll add to that, and I could be way off about him, but I think Napier is going to do well at UF which will put additional pressure on him (on and off the field). And it is certainly needed IMO, because I don't see auburn being much of a thorn in their side for the foreseeable future.

You are talking about one of if not the best coach of all times so highly unlikely anyone will do what CNS has done.

The other thing dealing with UGA next year will be the psychology of it. As stated earlier, Kirby can recruit and has a ton of talent. Talent will save you on a lot of occasions. Mindset is where they will have to keep it together. One of the most talented, if not THE most talented teams under CNS was the 2010 team that lost 3 games that year. They were young, and in Coach's words, just because you put on that crimson jersey, doesn't mean you don't have to line up and play the man across from you. Mark Ingram tweeted those exact same words after the aTm loss. He was on the 2010 that CNS told that to after the USCjr loss.


Back on point, In this day and age, it is super hard to go back to back. UGA can, and I am positive the SEC east will run through Athens and we know the west will run through Tuscaloosa. I look for UGA to be what Bama was this year. Very talented, but raw and will have a little bit of resting on their laurels because they were the Champs. If we knew just how much of a psychologist Saban was, it would probably shock us all.

I don't think anyone in college does a better job with psyche and the mental aspect of the player/athlete/team than Saban. I feel that is probably his biggest advantage as to the sustainability of his success.
