🏈 Hurts, Bateman, Barnett and the QB competition

Basically what we're seeing is pretty shocking.
The QB lineup is exactly the opposite of how they rank in terms of talent.
Jalen Hurts is the best-looking QB on the roster. He has a cannon, and runs extremely fast, and is extremely calm and poised.
Barnett has a great arm, and the build, and has some mobility, but has a tendency to sky passes - reminds me of Coker a little.
Bateman - the worst. Has an okay arm, can make some throws, plays timid, afraid to use athleticism. Is prone to the occasional wtf? kind of INT.

I tell ya, I'm going to be rooting hard against Bateman on Saturday. I don't think USC will test us much, so I hope Cooper doesn't get a free pass to week 2.
If Barnett is a "gamer" I think he could take us really far.
However, I envision a scenario where both Bateman and Barnett are failing us in an SEC game, and they finally bring out Hurts to save the day, and he makes the coaches look like total morons.
Saturday will tell all. Glad the offseason is over

Ever played golf with a senior citizen? They hit an iron off the tee box down the middle of the fairway every time while the guy that hits it twice as far with a wood is on the other fairway.

Rooting hard against Bateman? smdh

Satire?

Or, is it remotely possible that arguably the player with most raw talent still isn't ready to run the full offense that CLK and CNS want to run compared to two (also talented) other QBs with more time in the system?

Is it also not possible that a player (Bateman) could improve from one year to the next and learn from past experiences? If not, AJs career should have ended in the 2010 iron bowl.

I'm rooting against Bateman because I KNOW that he doesn't have what it takes to lead our team to a title. I'd much rather him go out, go three & out everytime, so we can establish Barnett as the starting QB.
It's only logical that everyone hope this QB situation is put to rest after this game. If they both play equally mediocre, that would be the worst case scenario in my mind.

Whaaa..... Bateman will do just fine and probably excel. The appealing part of this or any Bama team is that we can win if have to put Adam Griffith in at QB.

Bateman excelling would be bad, because it would just mean that USC is no good, he would be established as the starter, and then cost us a game down the line.

If Bateman is still the starter after this weekend, we'll absolutely lose this season - maybe multiple games, and not make the playoffs.
I really think this board is drinking the kool-aid if you're not concerned about Bateman starting.
We would've lost 3+ games last year with Bateman at QB - that's what y'all are not getting...

Also, according to all eye witnesses, including his summer QB coach, he really struggles throwing the ball down the field.
Again, all of this may not matter if Barnett wins the job. I'm just saying... everyone has seen this guy play - it's not inspiring
