Everyone has their blind spots and faults.Only kool-aid I'm drinking is that served up by the best coach in all of football. What he says, works for me. Saban says it, I believe it, that settles it... For me, at least. He's coached more NC teams than I have.
Saban does a lot of head-scratching things.
Everyone who attended fall practices/scrimmages was absolutely shocked at the QB announcement - some even saying he was trolling all of us, and would start Hurts.
It's a little concerning that we seem to have a superstar QB talent who outperformed the other two, and won over some teammates and coaches, and he's the first man out of the race.
I would venture to say that starting Bateman is one of the most conservative decisions he's ever made as coach, and I think he's going to pay for it, unfortunately, but might eventually start Jalen when he realizes we actually need an offense. Or, best case scenario is that Barnett takes over and plays lights out. All I know is that Bateman is not the guy. You have to have a high-powered offense in today's game. Trying to hide your QB won't cut it.
