Off topic: That 02 Bama UT Game is a somewhat underrated game in Bama Lore. I’ll give Fran this, he did a helluva job in 2002 outside of that disgraceful performance in the iron bowl that year… which in retrospect he was probably on the phone with college station prior to that game.

I thought he did a good job morphing the offense, sometimes each week, to win. Yes, he mailed in the IB, which unnecessarily gave rise to their streak a year early.

Between the "smoke draw" with Shaud Williams and the play action pass, out of the option, that Tyler Watts worked to perfection........that team was a blast to watch. Lane Bearden punting with a torn ACL. I loved watching that kid go down and launch himself at oncoming kick/punt returners.

On a side note. Jarret Johnson is one of my all time favorite players. Played DL for us but moved to LB and had an excellent NFL career.

I watched the entire 20 minutes. I love the old school big shoulder pads. Those guys looked like beasts.
