I am not sure if I know more but I'll offer my two cents as a former coach for many years. IMO, Alabama should run the ball to set up the pass. It would not hurt at all to use our H-back on a couple of plays because how many times have we run the ball this year from that position? I do not believe that UF will be able to sustain a run stop defense over a period of 4 quarters.
Fournette and Dalvin Cook both got 180 (+/-) against them. Against FSU they wore down in the 4th quarter. Part of that is a function of the offense not being able to sustain drives. UF defense is very athletic and has good speed/power combo. I think it will be a matter of Bama playing ball control and just staying with the plan. I don't see UF as being susceptible to big play quick strike stuff. I think Coker will need to be extra careful with the football and he may end up taking several sacks. I think Mullaney and Howard can be extra special in the passing game and if...big if...Drake is able to play he may be worth a
^^^ Yep. I think a solid game plan would be to just keep their defense on the field. I wouldn't even worry about big play bombs down field until later in the game when the D has started to creep up. Their offense won't be able to hold the ball more than a few plays each drive so if we keep wearing out the defense, the flood gates could bust open mid 3rd quarter.
