🏈 How close are we to not being undefeated is a disappointing season?

This year with all the hype, I think so. One loss and we suddenly don't control our own destiny. This team doesn't deserve that and after last season's late loss, I personally don't want to have to live through it again. It's true that a #1 seed hasn't won the playoff yet, but nothing is too impossible for this group. And who else but Bama should be the first.

Every year.....with bama ...its going to be like this...
We have gotten incredible break....
...2011 rematch with lsu after ok state choked vs Iowa State
...2012...Ohio State on probation and would have played ND for NC
...2015....slowed Watson down just enough to survive...
....2017....could have been osu in playoffs just as easy after loss to AU...
So...we have gotten breaks....things have gone our way...
But it wont always be like that....and we wont win every time....
This team...no worry?.be happy

Considering the Bama fatigue permeating the landscape, I don't know that we make the playoffs without winning the SEC anymore. Therefore it will almost take an undefeated season. I know I was disappointed when Clemson snaked that last one from us.

I think we are already there. Our biggest gripe is our punter kicking the ball 31 yards, and he lost his redshirt potential in like the sixth game because he isn't used enough. We are hard on our team because we have zero to truly complain about, so we find the little things. A loss is devastating because it's never expecting and hard to see coming outside of the Playoffs and Natty. We have been this way ever since I was in school over six years ago.

Depends on how you evaluate your competition.... And whether or not luck is involved (injuries & fluke plays)

If you believe that Bama has better talent than every other team, then losing a game is under performing. Especially when you consider the coach is the highest paid and facilities are top notch. What reason would there be to lose? I can think of a few... Execution, game plan, in game coaching, etc. And with this group and particularly this QB, injuries and luck would be the only reason not to be disappointed.

I have always been optimistic every season to win every game and the NC. Ever since I was old enough to know what a football was used for. Even in the down years, I pull hard every game. And disappointed in every loss. Any game, anywhere, anytime, against any opponent. But I will not be disappointed in any season unless we lose every game.

Forgot wwhen probation was handed down....was the most disappointed i have been ....the administration letting that happen

Let's just say that having an offensive powerhouse that we are seeing & not having the shutdown defense that we are used to seeing is a little bit unnerving. Now, I know that many things affect both sides of the ball (such as these blowout leads creating more & more opportunities for 2nd-3rd team defense playing time thus higher yardage being gained on the overall defense)... It's just harder to wrap my mind around the probability side of things when I'm not used to assessing this data.

Another instance is one of the main reasons folks say that we haven't played a good defensive team statistically is simply because our offense skewed all of our competitions defensive numbers. Granted more than half are not very good if not terrible defensively but folks fail to recognize how this offense has affected our competitions numbers. Its a factor.

I just know that I have never seen an offense produce like this. EVER. And I have looked. The only enemy is Tua's knee. And it would not surprise me at all if any of the competition we play from this point forward will try to 'sweep the knee' Karate Kid style. In fact I'd wager money on at least the obvious attempts at it.
