I read a bit where Mark Anderson is talking with the Bills and the Ravens now as well.

It's amazing to me how under-utilized some of the players we had in the past actually were when they were at the Capstone. If we needed one more piece of proof of how poorly a job some on our previous staff's have done?

Such an ignorant trade (even the majority of Texans players are openly complaining about it)... they pretty much just traded the guy that you built this defense around and the captain of the defense for a bag of a chips smh last year he was still a little slowed (and mainly played on 1st & 2nd down) with the 2010 achilles injury, but I expect him back at 100% this year. Philly got a steal here. hope he makes Texans regret this. good lord they lost their two best defensive players in the span of a week.

It is very questionable, but seeing that they will be needing a Linebacker now, you think they will acquire Hightower?!?!?

Not really. The reason he was slowed last year and was used mainly on the first downs was because Wade Phillips plays different style defense. Not really Wade's fault, just his style (which is why Mario Williams had to go too). Philly is a GREAT fit for DeMeco because they have talent but lack leadership. Judging by what he did at Bama we know he can be a leader, and looking at the text/tweets from other players it seemed he was the leader of the Texans as well. Philly needs a player like DeMeco to rule the D and he seems to fit into their scheme, plus they got dirt cheap.

He should be able to see more spotlight in Philly (plus i will get to see him play which is the main thing right?)

As for the Bills picking up Anderson, wow just wow- Dareus, Williams, Anderson, and possibly Upshaw= really good defense

Hightower- Im selfish and would LOVE for him to go to my beloved Steelers, although i dont see it happening... actually I would love for any Bama player to go to the Steelers


edit: i understand why the players are upset and they should be because of what he meant to the team, but as a personell decision i understand it.... they just lost their top picks from that years draft because the DC uses a different style defense and they dont fit it.... to me it seems they are looking to the future as Wade Phillips as their HC

Sorry man have no idea what you're talking about how in the world does Mario Williams as a JACK Linebacker not fit Wade Phillips' 3-4 defense? Dude was leading the league in sacks when he got hurt and the fact that the Texans owner instructed their front office to "not worry about Peyton Manning and do everything to sign Mario Williams back" kinda blows your "he didnt fit" thing out of the water. Dont see how DeMeco at either MIC or WILL in the 3-4 "doesnt fit" either and he himself had commented on how he still wasnt at 100% during the season.

As far as Hightower goes, yall (Pitt) have to replace Farrior, Hightower is a perfect fit.

Although, I'm excited for Ryans. There is a great core group of talent there. Now if they can avoid the Yankees curse and having too many chiefs and not enough Indians they'll be fine! He has a better shot at a ring in Philly.

If Vick stays healthy and Ronnie Brown can play remotely decent with Jackson, Macklin etc on the outside and now a defense is being built...could be an interesting year for the Eagles
