Do you suppose that the execs at ESPN realize more people are laughing at this feature than considering it worthwhile? Hell, as soon as it started I hit the mute button.

The Zenith in my media room has the smart sound feature that mutes out the commercials...why on earth they didn't make it where I could program it?!?!?

I have to admit that (although) these "pep talks" are comical, Holtz is actually a very good motivational speaker (or he was a few years ago).

I use to work for International Paper, and a few years back they hired him to speak at an IP conference. I went into it with doubts, but (like many) came away from his presentation highly impressed (and, dare I say, quite motivated :wink: ).

His speech has become more "slurred" since that time, I'm not sure whats going on there.
