🏈 Has any UTAH fan actually watched a Bama Game.

I know some have claimed to.

But anyway if you watch some soon pay attention to how many opposing players have to leave the games.. I just recently started re-watching every game this yr so i could get a count of how many players on average we hurt each game. Still working on it. But so far, in all the biggest games we have hurt alot of players, and I dont expect anything less vs UTAH especially. Can Utah's depth in the trenches step it up....? I don't think so

But best of luck though :D

I understand what you are saying...but, I prefer to say "got hurt" instead of "we hurt."

It's a contact sport, lest we forget, and our guys played very physical ball this season.

I watched those numbers as the season played its way out this year as well. It reminded me of seeing players cramp up when playing in Alabama at the beginning of the football season.

Who was it a few years ago...South Florida, or was it Central Florida...some team from Florida...played us in September and by the 3rd quarter they had over a dozen already that had to leave due to cramps, etc.

I believe that was Shulas debut at Legion Field, South Florida. I drank too much bourbon before the 11:30 kickoff and it kicked my ass, was over 100 degrees on the playing surface and at Legion my seats were the 1st row on the 45 yl! I slept the whole 3rd quarter, or had a heat stroke!

A) Yes, I've watched three Bama games this year.
B) No, I haven't paid attention to the number of people you've hurt. It obviously wasn't terribly abnormal if I don't remember noticing it.
C) As fantastic as your team is and as amazing as the stats they've rolled up, I can only hope that "number of players we hurt" isn't really something they enjoy bragging about.

SkinyUte....

BamaChef is only trying to rally the troops bro. Trust me, I wouldn't wish injuries on any player! I hope that the entire Utah team and my beloved Bama team is without injuries. That way we both can give it our best. My the best team win my friend.

Hey please don't come over here with that sarcastic crap and act like Utah fans have to much class crap.

You know Bigchef didnot imply that, however I on the other hand hope we take your QB out on the 1st play!

in a classy sort of way

No no no, that was misinterpreted. "we hurt." I meant players that leave the games due to cramps, sprains, and other related injuries. I mean I hope no Utes gets seriously hurt, but I do want them to feel the PAIN!

Not sure what you're talking about with the "too much class" comment, but that's neither here nor there.

I get the gist of what the original post was saying (you have a big, physical team), it just seemed like a strange thing to brag about to me. I would think a true measure of superiority is to dominate your opponent with their best players on the field, not beat their second or third stringers because the starters got hurt. To each their own, I suppose.

Wow, that's not even close to what I said or even inferred. The point I was making is since your team has been dominant all year, don't you want to try and finish it off with a dominating win against a Utah team at full strength, rather than "taking out your QB on the first play" and playing against the backup? Wouldn't a win against the starters prove more?

One of the Utah guys , in another thread, wondered how we could dominate them for four quarters when we had serious letdowns in the second half. I tried to explain that the problem was remedied by the coaching staff in the first half of the season, but if that's any indication of how closely they've "scouted" us, they may be in for a surprise. :santa ^^CO

At any rate, it's all in good fun. Merry Christmas to all!!

And I guess one could argue that we "beat up on their second and third stringers" because the opposing team's first stringers couldn't take the heat and line up against our first stringers. So I'm not alltogether taking kindly to your remark there.

But whatever, You guys are Utah, so I'm sure you'll be fine, out there with your leotards and spread offense and all.

Okay, my bad. I was playing.

I think you guys are misunderstanding my comment (or perhaps I worded it poorly). I wasn't saying that Bama dominated this year because they were playing against second and third stringers. Opponent injuries had nothing to do with your wins, and you still win/dominate all those games regardless. I was simply making the observation that I think it's a better and more satisfying victory for any team (Bama, Utah, USC, Georgia, BYU, whomever) to beat their opponents when they are at full strength. Wouldn't you agree?

I still, however, think it is an odd thing to single out as a "look what we can do" talking point, but that's just personal opinion.

Yeah, guess I'm a little defensive today. There's been a lot of sniping back and forth on the Utah board (some of it rather nasty). Just wanted to make sure I wasn't coming across as a myopic Ute homer. :)

You're preaching to the choir man. We've been known to be a little defensive, and a little conceded as well.

Back in the late 90's and early 2000's they called the St. Louis Rams the "Greatest show on turf". BAMA (and a lot of other SEC fans consider themselves) "The only show on Earth". We tend to get in that mindset sometimes and no one can tell us any different.
