šŸˆ Gus Bus "not opposed" to an Auburn move to the East

Gus Malzahn says he’s ā€˜not opposed’ to a move to the SEC East

Would be bad for Alabama, because we can only keep one East team locked onto our schedule each year. This would force the choice between playing Auburn every year or UT every year.

Unless we moved to nine SEC games, then we might could lock both in.

BR, it's pitiful that Gus, KNOWING the implication that their fiercest rivalry would be postponed, wouldn't be opposed to it.

Unless.... he already knows something we don't.... that we are moving to 9 SEC games ...

How many awbarn fans would be relieved if we rotated with them?

I've been saying for years it would be best to stop playing the barn. Almost every moment in barn history worth talking about involves Bama. We make them some kind of relevant by playing them at the end of every season. They are the definition of riding our coattail.

Here is how I equate it:

Bama playing the barn is like the heavy weight champion of the world giving some nobody a title shot... for free.

Bama has Everything to lose nothing to gain. Barn has nothing to lose everything to gain.

Would love to cancel the IB, and let them watch us win titles from a distance simply wishing they could get their free title shot again one day/stand on the same grass as Bama.

Let them slink back under the cowturd from which they came. They can take all that gimmicky, trick play, we've got nothing to lose, all we want to do is ruin Bama season sh!t, and cram it right up their collective inbred as$es.

The move isn't his call. A move impacts more than football.

A move to 9 conference games wouldn't mean two cross division rival games. To get the benefit of playing all SEC teams in a short time period, it would require two rotating cross division teams on everyone's schedule in addition to the rival game.

As I recall, we're not too many years removed from AU proposing this idea though it gained no ground. When they did, Coach Moore emphatically said if they move to the East they are going to fall in the normal rotation. He was adamant about keeping the UT game each year.

I'm not saying 9 conference games would mean that we would have two cross divisional rivalry games. Just a hypothetical.

As it should be. If I had the choice, I would take UT over AU every time. Way more history, the top two teams in SEC titles vs a bunch of whiny bitches. Don't get me wrong, I hate UT too but I also have more respect for their program historically.

It's reached the point that I put very little credibility on what Chris Low "hears" around the conference. I still hold him in higher regard than Dennis Dodd, but only by a slight margin. He's become a mouthpiece in my opinion—a way for coaches, boosters, and others to get their word out.

Recall ... Low was one of the main guys stating Saban to Texas was a done deal. Low was one of the main guys tweeting (while tagging Freeze in those tweets) the NCAA in Oxford, and the letter, didn't involve the football program. And now, he's saying realignment is going to brought up in Destin? I've no doubt Gus brought the subject up.

IF it comes up in Destin, which I doubt, it won't get serious consideration. I just don't see it happening.

Won't be surprised if this is his last year.

Next year at this time he may be hawking products on infomercials
