Yeah but some of those greens are FAST, and you’d be 150’+ away on a few.
I can’t putt for shit, one of the reasons I don’t golf. I was a look how far I drove that one guy.

A bit hyperbolic. The average green at Augusta is roughly 30x30. 14th is the largest: a little over 10K. So, on most holes for you to be putting that far it would be one fringe to another.

I've played courses that were as fast; bentgrass mostly for that speed on the STIMP. For me, it's not thinking about the hole but a 3x3 patch where I want the ball to stop.

Use to play Bentgrass greens all the time at Musgrove CC in Jasper AL. Bad boys were pretty slick, all you had to do on a downhill was breathe on it.

One of my favorite "golf trips" is a bit over a half of an hour from here in Santee. On the W side of 95 there a resort course that used to have bent (wide open, hilly) and on the E side of 95 another with Bermuda and it's TIGHT. There are three and four levels of the bent greens ... big greens.

Two polar opposite courses ... if you can tee off around 8 on one...you'd on your way home at 5ish.

Fast forward to today ... several years ago they had an agronomic problem out there and lost A LOT of their greens. So, they've now gone to Bermuda.

Musgrove has huge fans planted around their greens to keep the bent "cool" in the summer.

I've seen situations like that. Can't think of the name...the yacht club where Price SHOULD have been drinking...they have a similar set-up.

I've seen several of the recent years where they went with a third bent and two thirds Bermuda.

That would be fun. Bet there's A few putter shafts snapped in half.
