🏈 Gators say they didn't play like they practiced

Its been said that it is harder to stay on the top than it is to get to the top. They met a team Saturday that was just as talented, had worked at least as hard, and wanted the prize even more.

One of the surprises of the game to me:

After we showed early that we had the little Utah pass to Hernandez off an option look covered, and played the Tebow or pitch option perfectly, they made no adjustments other than to just to quit running them. Even in the first half they gave up on their running game. Not to disrespect Tebow in any way, but my dream for Saturday was for them to have Tebow try to beat us by throwing the ball.

I suppose it does very little to analyze that game now, 4 days later. But in retrospect, they didn't stand a chance. :D

They just lacked the key parts to their offense that could have beaten us. Their o line could not play with our defensive schemes, and they didn't allow Tebow time to throw. He's not dead-on accurate most of the time, so a rushed or errant throw is going to be a problem with our D.

Their D was just not able to make the short-play stops that they needed to. We blocked well downfield, not allowing them to gang-tackle. Brandon Spikes was invisible. Hader was involved in a few plays, but we didn't throw to his area of the field that much.

It was as close to perfection as I've seen in a long time.

His run didn't and his thowing didn't. Bama just wanted it more.

I thought it was a poor coaching job. I agree, they totally got away from what they do. Run the ball. The first time they have had to fight in a game all year and they were not ready. Thats the coaches fault. Not prepared.

That's why we won we've got the better coaching staff.

For the first and only time I agree with Kiffin about one thing... Alabama has the coaching edge against Florida. Why can't all coaches be more like Saban and when they get their tails whipped just simply say the same as Saban "We just got outplayed, we weren't prepared, and it showed on the field, we played a better team".
