Slow weekend led me to look at FSU a little more than I'd normally do on an opening weekend. Too many unknowns, ya know?
This game? It's starting to rival other openers where I've said, "hang on a second." Notably with this game, Clemson.
After reading and watching several reports on FSU I realized they have the same conclusions I had a week ago: "who there knows what's going on?"
They are still working on starting guards while trying to teach the tackles the offense (tackles with injuries in spring installs.) Hey, this would be a slight bump in the road except there are fifty,
50, players on that roster that weren't there a year ago. (Hell, two starters are guys who left Bama with loaded position groups.) There's a good chance four of the five of their OL are new (experienced at other places) to playing with each other.
Has anyone heard the word "gel" when talking about an offensive line?

Just sayin' ...
'We know the names, but' ... that's become such a funny phrase to me when I hear it from those folks.
I have a part of me that hopes FSU is better than they were last year. I don't want to see an opponent, opener for that matter, struggle to score twice. (That would be an improvement for them.)
