🏈 GAME THREAD: SEC / NCAA games of the week (10/3)

Oregon's OL has been their Achilles to date. They were playing last night after having lost 4 to injuries in the first third of the season. Mariota had spent the weekend against Wazzu on his back and the Ducks were lucky to survive then. I don't think the Ducks will go the rest of the way undefeated. STICK A FORK IN THEM!! THEY'RE DONE!!!

This + poor tackling on defense and bad officiating.

Blah blah blah Pac-12 on par with SEC...

Oregon just never had the complete package. Poor Mariota, he seems like a real good kid and a great player, but that o-line failed him miserably last night. And yeah he fumbled at the end but games shouldn't come down to one play like that. He got sacked what, 5 times? And all season he has basically carried the team on his back. That's a lot of pressure for a guy already facing his last season and his last shot at a Heisman. Gotta feel for him.

Oregon still has a good shot at the playoffs though IMO. I do not think we will have any unbeatens come playoff time, and like I said earlier, better to lose earlier than to lose later.

Wonder how this impacts Michigan State's loss though. Does it make the game less meaningful? Things are gonna get interesting!
Somewhere this morning I ran across the stat Mariota has been sacked twelve times in the last two games.

The impact, at least the brunt of it, is felt in the B1G as a conference. As I see this, there was a chance for the B1G to get a team in IF there was another challenging team for Sparty to face in the B1GCC. Now, with Oregon losing like they did, I believe the chances of that conference being left out have grown exponentially.

Thought it was neat that I had that thought and about 20 minutes later Mitchell tweets the same thing, @rick4bama

I know Russ glances at the site a few times a week...he's been doing that with a lot of SEC sites since the launch of SEC14.

Between Thursday and Friday we've had six college football games.

Four teams—BYU, Houston, Oregon, and 'Cuse—all lost; at home.

Half of those were/ranked teams...does the trend continue today? Ole Miss and MSU both ranked, and both will likely lose (IMO.) Who else falls at home?
