šŸ’¬ Funny Thing Today

Today while getting gas I see an older guy getting gas wearing an Auburn shirt, so me being me I decide to go talk to him after paying inside.

I walk over to him and say ā€œExcuse me sir? I saw your Auburn shirt and wanted to come over and tell you Roll Tideā€ he smiles then catches on what I said and says ā€œJust remember Auburn is THE University of Alabamā€ I replied ā€œYou do mean Auburn is THE University of Alabama’s jealous brother?ā€. We had a laugh and when we were leaving he shakes my hand and introduces himself as do I. He gives me a ā€œWar E....ā€ and I give him a Roll Tide.

Was a fun exchange and conversation with him, nice guy too bad he’s an Auburn guy

There r some good AU fans....my mom was one....don’t know why but.......

I hear you, I got 2 granddaughters who can Roll Tide with the best of them, but their's that grandson who likes to come over wearing way too much orange and blue. I give them all plenty of hugs.

Amazes me how a family gets split team wise like they do. I guess a lot has to do with what they want to be in life and they make the decision of one school over the other. Mine was the fact I got into Alabama, but not into Georgia, so allegiance changed automatically, now I have a wife, and about to be four kids that wear crimson and white around an entire family that wears red and black for the Dawgs. And an uncle and two cousins that are total blacksheep to me that are Tech fans, but have no ties to the school. Think they chose it because Tech is considered a better school than Georgia, atleast it was for many years until the HOPE scholarship raised the academic standard at Georgia.

I'm afraid you just described how we all picked the teams that we root for. Regardless, the determination and fanaticism that any fan has for a particular team is unique to them alone and can't be passed on exactly to any other person. Most Bama fans I know are from the state of Alabama. Some just liked the colors and thought they were pretty. Others were convinced by family and friends. Still others like yourself have a million other stories of happenstance in their lives. Most of the time, the chances of being a different colored football fan are probably as easy as being from somewhere else.

I get a lot of shit for being a Bama fan from Philly. Folks just don't "get" it.

Back in 70s......Bama played at Washington in Seattle....a roller friend sent me 2 tickets....Being I lived in Washington state....on the other side of the cascades though... i could not believe how many WA natives there were in Crimson and white... most admitted they came out to see...yep...The BEAR..
Been to a lot of away games....but it was unreal....
And then at HAWAII...... People wanting to talk about Bama football......and the Bear.... with TUA there now...i bet Hawaii is the #2 state of Bama fans...
Bama is a national program....recognized......most everywhere....

Are you sure you not talking about my three grand kids? The two oldest girls will do the same, the youngest will get very upset when she see a car painted red with that barner tag on it. Now my grandson well all I can say is he was drop a lot on his head. Yes, I do the same with the hugs, but the grandson think he to big to get hugs from his grandfather!
