I'm not sure much of anyone will know OSU beat Grambling State this upcoming weekend.
Probably not. Not really sure what you mean by this.

My point was/is that Ryan Day is a better coach than we have. Moan and groan all we want, he’s won and won on the biggest stage. Everyone can say it’s his position coaches and coordinators, blah blah blah.

That’s exactly how Saban won. He surrounded himself with good coaches that had shared in the same vision Saban had.

In terms of talent, regardless of how Day and Ohio State got the players…..they still have them. Which is even worst because based on the 247 sports rating thing, the talent distribution puts Ohio state #3 overall and Bama #2 overall. I believe Georgia was #1.

Even further proves my point that our current head coach kinda sucks.

We have seen almost zero improvement in line play. We make stupid mistakes that extend drives and pretty much kill any momentum we might have. Lack of fire and intensity. Constantly out of position for tackles, making a half way decent block on the edge, piss poor route running, should I go on?

Who is their next opponent for $1000?
What does it matter?? They are winning and winning all the time. Why would they kill themselves with a tough regular season schedule when they can win 10 to 12 games and get in the playoffs anyway.

I know, we all talk about how SOS matters and the SEC plays harder teams, blah blah blah. But, didn’t matter last year for us. We got left out. Rightfully so. We weren’t very good anyway.

It didn’t matter in 2022 either.

I know SOS is allegedly going to matter more this year, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

A tongue in cheek comment, loaded with levity, and it seems you've missed the point. One game against a befuddled Texas team tells little other than what we already knew.

Like judging a restaurant by the sign you just saw on the Exit sign: way too early to assume anything from where I'm sitting other than OSU is OSU.

Lol, do you mean during the coaching search after Saban retired? If so, that is incorrect. I was overjoyed with the notion of him being our coach. If this isn't what you meant, then please explain.... because prior to him getting the Oregon job, I wasn't even a member on here yet.
The chances are high I have you confused with someone else.

Yeah ok.

Highest winning percentage in college football out of active coaches (4+ seasons) but……nahhhh he ain’t good enough for bama.

Whatever.

He’s gonna laugh at Bama and the rest of the country when they win 2 in a row.

You clearly can't read. I didn't say he wasn't good, I said he's not elite. I'll say it again for you, he plays in a weak conference, so of course he'll pile up wins.

He's not good enough for Alabama. Too emotional when questioned. Saban popped off, but highly strategic and the ass to back it up.

The one thing we miss about Saban is when we lost he would say "I could see this coming"... If the team didn't play or practice up to the standard, he would blame them..CKD needs to try that sometimes..But with some of the egos we have, some may just mail it in and transfer, if criticized..

Now days some players make more than coaches on staff. How much power do coaches even have over players?? Look at the NFL, NBA, etc. The highest paid players rule the teams.
Right... sometimes I wish the Alabama would do an old-school move and take the names off of the jerseys... These guys can sell their merch and brands on their own time...

Questionable. No. Incorrect.

@Destiny's Child you only show up on game days, in game threads, and this is your normal tone.

It's a schtick. A little funny when you were posting images of yourself bedazzled with your clutch in hand, in sequins.

I don't think this is vague.

Hi Terry! Nice to speak to you too! I have been offline for a while been busy with my mom.. she has had a few strokes and struggling with demensia. I generally read some but stay out of the conversations during the off season because that is when the stupidity starts.

If you look at the time of my post.. it was about when Florida State tied it at 7. I have always hated this defensive scheme and when I saw how ill prepared we were for the same high school offense that dickhead has run forever.. I knew we were in trouble. At the very least we need to make a better hire at DC but no one will come now because Debour will be on the "hotseat"

Our team looked slow. To me this means unprepared which is an issue in our coaching staff. Grub may be good but the play calling was very suspect.. we gave up on the running game to quick in my opinion.

Now, they let FSU hold on the corners like crazy.. there were several questionable/borderline calls and ball spots that were very problematic. The Personal foul at the end was bullshit and how untimely the ghost false start penalties were when we were 3 and 1 was either intentional or just very accidently helpful for our opponent.

Hotseat coaches hire new coordinators all the time. Look no further than what we just saw from FSU as an example. Making the right hire is what’s important. If DeBoer gets canned, the coach is still gonna get his guaranteed money out of it. And it’s going to be a healthy dose of money for doing it at UA. There may be other things that scare potential DC’s off, but DeBoer being on the hot seat won’t be one of them (IMO).

He’s whooped Texas twice. Who has been clearly better than Bama the last few seasons. But, he’s not ā€œsecā€ caliber.

You clearly can’t understand logic.

He just beat them by seven points where the Heisman front runner looked progressively worse than our first time starter. You call that whooping? Georgia whooped Texas twice too, and we beat Georgia. Your logic is bullshit and is met with three points against it each time. But sure, keep shooting.

You’re the dumbass that thinks Ryan Day isn’t good enough to coach in the SEC. He beat the SEC twice last season and once this season on the way to a championship last year. No one needs to cuss, but you took it there.

In the wake of Saturday, the game with Michigan before their run is still a head scratcher.

I didn't say SEC, I said Alabama. Dude, read the comments. You continue to run your mouth and make shit up. The dumbass here is the one that can't read. Can't coach in the SEC? He could very easily coach at half the schools. LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Texas? Absolutely not.
