| FTBL Found on another forum: Mardi Gras parade celebrates LSU's loss?

This is some really funny stuff but lotsa LSU fans ain't all that happy about it. I noticed one of these pics on the Tigerdroppings website, so I searched around a bit to see if I could find some others so that I could put together a little sequence for everyone to enjoy.The following pics are from one of the many parades that have been going on. This one took place on Friday evening & the crew/team/organization that did it that night is called "Le Krewe d'Etat". I know absolutely NOTHING about all of the Mardi Gras stuff, but it seems that this particular organization always tries to poke fun at just about everybody, and the following float is no exception. But I gotta tell ya, gang, I'm surprised that nobody down there attacked this float once they saw what it was all about.
• The theme of this float is "Tell It Like It Is", and danged if they didn't do just that. On the front of the float is none other than former LSU & NFL player, Bobby Herbert. He also had a son on this year's Tigah team, and he was the one who was pretty rude to our pal Lester during the post-game PC after the HUGE loss to Bama. He also was very salty during his radio gig, and you can see a couple of his infamous quotes that are clearly displayed :

• As we move to the side portion of the float, you'll start to see some of the great stuff that will be displayed in the pics down below :

• And they certainly wanted to remind everybody of LSU's final record, thus emphasizing the VERY painful loss to CNS & his mighty Bama troops :

• This is something else. Smack dab in the middle on each side is Bama's BFF, good ol' Coach Lester. His hat shows the final season record, and you'll note that sweat droplets are pouring down his face 'cause the poor guy simply doesn't know how to stop the carnage. Finally, there's little ol' Jerrett Lee, just begging for the chance to get at least a few snaps during the game. Just GREAT!
And also take a look at the upper left corner and try to guess who's gonna be taking a very prominent place at the back of the float. )

• Just AMAZING. It's tough enough that Bobby Herbert is at the front of the float, but even worse/better is Superman Coach Saban, dressed in Bama gray with a Crimson "S" on his chest. He's holding up the BCS Crystal Ball, all the while standing tall in the midst of an overwhelming Crimson Tide. WHEW! One can only speculate that either there weren't many LSU fans watching this particular parade, or they were all simply too drunk to give a rip :

• And the final prominent insult is a big Bama angry elephant with a prominent "Roll Tide" beside him, fiercely guarding the 50 yd. line, making sure that NO LSU player ever dares to step across it. And although you can't see it very well, the hapless LSU player below the elephant is Jordan Jefferson, trying vainly to grab the runaway football. Hehehe!

Hope that all the folks who built that hilarious float live in a reasonably safe neighborhood. That was some pretty painful stuff if you're an LSU Tigah fan, and that float did nothing but just stick the knife in a little deeper than it already was.
And finally, let's all be sure to give a BIG "shout out" to our REC operatives who are based down in 'Nawlins. They certainly did another FINE job of making sure that this particular parade was one we Bama fans will always remember. )

That'd take some cajones to drive that puppy through a parade in LA! The only thing I'm wondering is what's the deal with T-Bob's dad? Did his dad have some comments after the game or something?

Video: Bobby Hebert Destroys Les Miles after LSU’s Loss vs. Alabama


The only thing sweeter than watching Les Miles get swiftly and undeniably outcoached by Nick Saban is watching him squirm in the postgame interview that follows.

Because Miles has consistently been the beneficiary of some very good LSU Tigers football teams, having to sit through painfully uncomfortable postgame interviews is not a position he often finds himself in. But there he was on Monday, explaining why and how a team that looked as dominant as his Tigers had all year long, flamed out in such spectacular fashion when it mattered most.

In an effort to help Miles understand the magnitude of his team’s epic collapse, former New Orleans Saints quarterback Bobby Hebert opted to ask this longwinded question during the postgame festivities (via USA Today):

“Coach, did you ever consider bringing in Jarrett Lee, considering that you weren't taking any chances on the field? Now, I know Alabama's defense is dominant. But, come on, that's ridiculous, five first downs. I mean, so it's almost an approach, I'll tell from you the fans' standpoint, that how can you not maybe push the ball down the field and bring in Jarrett Lee? So what if you get a pick six. It seems like the game plan that ... not pushing the ball down the field, considering it's like a Rueben Randle or Odell Beckham, Jr. I know the pass rush of Alabama, but there's no reason why in five first downs ... you have a great defense, LSU is a great defense, but that's ridiculous.”

Now, you may notice that there was no actual question there. The moderator caught on to that as well. After pushing Hebert for an actual question, here is what Miles’ staunchest critic came up with:
“That's the question. Do you think you should have pushed the football more down field?”

Miles went ahead and politely responded to that, but the answer wasn't as funny as the rant/question itself.

Now that's funny right there! I had heard the rant, but didn't know that was T-Bob's father....and also didn't know his father played for the Saints.

While listening to that clip I found myself wondering "how would Coach Saban respond to a statement like that?" - For one, Saban would probably be a hell of a lot more confident in the way the game was coached/called than Miles sounds...even if it was in a losing effort. Miles seemed very flustered, and not very sure of himself. It's like he didn't take any sort of offense to what Herbert said to him. To me, any coach that's worth anything would have been offended, and fired back with something.

It's amazing how quickly things can change in the sports world. I remember rumblings during the weeks leading up to the game on ESPN and on the radio here in Nashville of "who would you rather have coaching your team? Saban or Miles?" - Funny thing is...it wasn't uncommon for someone to say they'd rather have Miles because "he's looser"...pardon while I chuckle.

It's amazing how quickly things can change in the sports world. I remember rumblings during the weeks leading up to the game on ESPN and on the radio here in Nashville of "who would you rather have coaching your team? Saban or Miles?" - Funny thing is...it wasn't uncommon for someone to say they'd rather have Miles because "he's looser"...pardon while I chuckle.

It was very common. And, it was the primary reason I was so confident of our chances to win the game. "He's looser" is now interpreted as "he didn't have a tight enough reign."
