Linked above is an article about an apparent agreement between Bama LB commit Reuben Foster, Univ. of Georgia S commit Tray Matthers, and yet to commit RB Alvin Kamara to all attend the same school.

Each is an ESPN 150 prospects (Foster #2, Kamara #81, Matthews #116). All have offers from Bama, which makes it feasible even if CNS does not make a habit of offering "package-Deals".

With Foster and Matthews already committed, and Kamara only thus far committed to the deal, it sounds like all that is left to do is figure out who (Foster or Matthews) will flip. Matthews has visited Tuscaloosa a few time and finds some measure of attractions with Alabama, if I am reading the article correctly. Foster's thoughts on UGA, I don't know. The bad news for Bama is that the Athens area is where he just left. The good news is that he just left the Athens area.

We have an interesting recruiting story that seems to be slated to be worked out and the results made public before the end of the Summer.

Please offer your thoughts about how all this will turn out.

I haven't paid enough attention to the COF 2013 to truly have a hugely respectable opinion, but from reading the quotes in that article it leads you to believe that Foster has no plans on leaving Alabama, and that Matthews is atleast considering switching from Georgia. But if these kids think they're going to dictate how Alabama's 2013 Recruiting class turns out, they're wrong. Kamara would be our third RB in this class (assuming he and Tyran Jones are being recruited as RB's). And I think that we have limited numbers this year. (Don't we say that every year? :icon_lol: )

I can absolutely see Richt offering up a package deal for these guys because he's desperate to keep all these in-state studs at home and hopefully keep his job another year. But truth be told, Saban's not even in the same arena as far as desperation goes...heck, Saban probably has reserves lined up if this situation doesn't work out.

Truthfully, I'm not sure how Saban feels about Kamara coming on board, but one thing's for sure: Saban's the President of this NFL/BCS Championship Development Factory...and it's like he told Julio, "we're going to win with you, or without you, but we'd love to have you."

I have the same take on Foster and Matthews, at least that your take is the picture that the article was painting.

I can't think of a single weakness in an Alabama offer to Matthews -- the Safety. If it were me, I would be in touch with the young man just after Mark Barron is drafted in the first round.

A couple of points about Kamara; he already has an offer from Bama, so he fits some part of the plan. Second, he is enough of an athlete that he can move to another position. And because its Coach Saban's staff, he could change and still make it to the pros.

I think it's all a game. Heck, one of them even says so. I could maybe see 2 of them playing together but not all 3. Foster's staying with Alabama and Matthews with UGA. Which way will Kamara go? That's really the only question left for me.
