šŸˆ Former USC coach Sarkisian joins Tide staff as analyst

Saban - always giving someone a second chance. I like the pickup. Hopefully Sarkisian will get his redemption and become a productive and marketable coach again. In the meantime, another former head coach to lead Alabama further.

Future "O" coordinator.... Gives him a year to learn the offense... Cheers .

I agree. It almost seems like the writing is on the wall that Kiffin will be a HC next year. That's not meant to come off as a Debbie downer statement; it's just that if that's the case, then CNS is already prepping for next year.

Granted, it was announced by Clay Travis, but it's interesting that this news would break ~ 9:00 P.M. last night.

Yeah, know what you mean but I felt the same way when CLK was hired. That's turned out all right. Another recruiter with connections to some of those speedsters on the west coast.

I don't think he can recruit. If that was the case, CNS would just hire a bunch of off-field offensive specialists and send them out on the recruiting trail.

Starting to look like a rehab facility here, Second Chance U. Ah hell, I don't care, sometimes we all deserve a chance to regain respect and build from when we fall hard.

Or as I like to call it, "The Island of Misfit Toys."

Exactly how I took it too.

And I detest Clay Travis. If he were to drop with a massive heart attack right in front of me, I'd rip up my CPR card and sprinkle the pieces on his lifeless body as I walked away.
Okay not really, but I do not like the man at all.

Recruiting by proxy. They can use the fact that he is there all they want and let kids know that things will chug right along no matter who is OC as we have other former head coaches waiting in the wings. Helps reduce the "I only went there to play for Kiffin" problem.

No, Joey Freshwater just needed a wingman to jump on some hand grenades for him.

Not sure if I'm good with this.

I'm curious, why?

He was fired a year ago, did his rehab stint, and has been working with Fox Sports. I'd take that as a sign of stability.

@bama alum Working with Fox ... Travis works with Fox ... that's how he was able to break the story.

He denied his problem for a long time (although I know a lot do), then he sued USC for axing him. During his OC and HC tenure, how good was he? One year of "stability" after multiple years of problems isn't much. I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong.
