University of South Alabama head football coach Joey Jones announced Friday that former Pensacola High School prep standout Chris Lett has transferred from Alabama and will enroll in school in the fall. He will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2009 campaign.

I'm glad to see him land on his feet.

I HOPE and pray the kid is being mature about his diabetes now. He sure wasn't doing what was needed when he was in Tuscaloosa. Just maybe, maybe, losing his scholly was just the wake up call he needed.

I do wish him well, as well. Another year older and a great deal closer to home, lets hope that these are a couple more ingredients is a recipe for success.

He also could be a huge asset for a program that could use a anchor player to build upon.

BTW, USA is scheduled to play Tennessee in Knoxville in 2013.
