It is always possible he felt that he was barely making it and could not keep it together academically. Or maybe he just felt he had a better chance to play more there.

I suspect as a LB this season if you have been in the system for a number of years and you couldn't make a name for yourself with all the injuries, the writing is probably on the wall.
