🏈 For those who were in Auburn yesterday....

Just wondering if my crowd were the only ones that encountered the most hostile and pathetic fanbase of sore losers in college football?

For example, I was walking on the ramp leaving the east side stands last night and this very normal looking barner woman who was about 60 years old turned and looked at me and said, "Y'all ought to be ashamed. We weren't even ranked going into this game. Y'all are going to get killed by Florida and Tebow." I turned to her and simply said, "At least we get to play next week." When grandmothers are talking crap, unprovoked I might add, that is a sad comment on the character of the school they cheer for and its fans.

Also, lots of taunting walking to our RV. Can you say sore losers?

Our section in the west stands was quite docile. One aub gave me a hard time about going down the stairs before the game as he was coming up (hey dude, keep to the right) but other than that things were pleasant. Nobody really said anything to each other during or afterward. One aub may disagree with me, as she walked right in front of my in the middle of rammer jammer but hey, they had it coming :)

AUB= the hardest place in the world to lose. They are BAD BAD BAD.

This year was the tamest pregame/post game Ive ever seen down there (and Ive been to each game in Aub) They expected to lose

There was a small skirmish at one point (very small) between two idiots and an obnoxious lady behind me that just didn't have the hope of having a clue. Kept saying how classless Bama players were, then AU gets hit with a personal, saying 'block the kick" when we were going for two. That said, there were plenty of nice folks around me, in line for the shuttle, and on the shuttle. Just imagine back to when we were in year three of Shula. Multiply that times two, and that's where AU's mentality is. I never heard so many moral victory speeches in my life.

every fan base has their idiots.

from the scores that everyone predicted and the beat down last year 36-0 ( <-- I love posting that btw), Auburn wasn't expected to keep it close, but they did, hence the morale victory. I don't see why everyone has a hard time grasping this.

Because blowing a game against your bitter rivals, at home, in which you never trailed until there was less than two minutes left, cannot be considered any kind of victory. I'm sorry, but the REAL victory was theirs for the taking until it was snatched away by the last Bama drive. That ought to be a gut punch loss, however you frame it. That they can be any way satisfied with that is a sign of just how far the balance of power has swung in the state in the last two years. They ain't even little brother. On that evidence, they're a fifth grade kid playing his Dad at hoops and getting excited 'cause he made a basket.

A friend and I had seats in section 4, 30 yard line behind Auburn bench. I have never wanted to hit someone so bad in my life. :fight:There were these two highly intoxicated Auburn fans behind us. They called us "inbreeds", "meth users", and "cousin _____". It was awful. When Auburn would have a good play, they would purposely try and splash us with their drinks. They were absolutely classless.

Then right after we scored in the fourth quarter, they yelled "I can not wait for Florida to whoop ya'll." Which is when I replied, "Why because your precious Tigers couldnt beat us meth using, inbreeds?" He cussed me and left. It was great, lol. Other than those two, I enjoyed some fun smack talking with some Auburn fans, which is how it should be.

Sore Losers grow old too....unfortunately. Auburn puts the A-S-S in CLASS.

As for the "dominated for 58 minutes" line, after noting that after the first 10 minutes of the game we had three scoring possesions (and a miss FG on a fourth) to their one scoring possesion, I want to know how they define "Domination"...becasue my definition does not include losing.

A pal of mine, a pretty big guy who was a walk on under the Bear, went to the game. He said he was sitting in a mostly Auburn section, wasn't wearing Bama gear except for a cap. The way he told it, he was getting a hard time when it was 14-0, but by half time with the score tied they had shut up excepty for a drunk who was really letting the profanity roll. Since his wife was with him he finally turned around and said to the drunk "How about toning it down". The drunk started to mouth again, then noticed how big he is and said "yes sir". It all started back when they scored in the 3rd quarter, but got quieter as the game wore on and we closwed the gap. On the last drive he said it was deathly quiet around him, as if they were expecting the Grim Reaper. He sang Rammer Jammer along with the rest of the Bama fans, and as he was leaving the stadium he was confronted by a seemingly 60 year old Aub. She screamed at him "Alabama didn't impress me at all". He ignored, then she got in hus face and yelled it again. He smiled at her and said "I'm happy how the game turned out. Are you?" and kept on walking.

I get hit with the whole "yall aint got nothing to be proud about" and "Florida will get killed by yall" crap the other day. i just simply replied with "have fun at the Papa Johns Bowl".
