This site has moved away from mostly football talk. I find myself and others reacting to events that are more political than just about BAMA football. 2K responses about the Chinese virus is an example. I hope we will look forward to more football stuff in the future. This is where I go to keep up with the team and the SEC . The political stuff needs to stay on Twitty. IMHO

We're going to slowly move things back over to a non-sports area...however, with C-19 and football? In a lot of cases, there's no separating the two. Tests results, player(s) quarantined ... it'll be as important to the outcome of games as injuries.

Ok where is it? I agree but there is a lot of political talk here that has little to do with football. It is mostly left vs right and I admit that ,like a train wreck, you have to look.

That's funny. We have all been judgemental on here at times according to some. I guess there is not much football news to occupy FLM (Football lives matter)

In past years, threads have been slower on football related topics, especially during the summer months. Under normal circumstances, the football threads pick up in late July and early August. As @planomateo said, there is another place on the forum to post non sports related topics but I feel the moderators have been very gracious to allow us to post on this particular football site since we have had so much unnatural circumstances. Just my opinion.

This forum is more like a family than like a forum where other fans get on and start the name calling and really stupid stuff. This is really a cool place to be in and exchange everything from feeling and personal info( @RollllTide! 50th anniversary) to stats ( know who that is). And its not to big or just a few. Good size. Good guys. My feelings

Psh, the maximum characters allowed in a tweet is about as far as you get with someone talking politics anymore without name calling and threats. I think that's more of what was being pointed to. People have dug in their heels, there's no moving or educating at this point. I get what he was saying.

I'm fairly open minded about alot of things.

The challenge with getting older is realizing I don't know everything, regardless of how much life experience I have. My kids indirectly remind me of this often.

My perspective on various topics has been a work in progress. Will there be drastic changes to my viewpoints at my age, probably not.

But I'm willing to listen to other perspectives, just don't have to agree.

I tend to agree with @planomateo. I have said that I lean towards libertarian in my thinking, I guess that I am farther along this path than I thought.
I thought Trump was an asshat before he announced but I embraced him as a non political outsider. I will again support him because too much is at stake. This my mind cannot be changed on.
I am always open for debate and have been convinced to alter my stance after. Anyone can always hit me up with a DM and we can do it without agitating people that don’t.

I like this conversation but as @XXL TideFan says he will support Trump because in this election there is too much at stake. I agree with that and the point of this thread was to try to get us to focus on more football and less politics. Trump did tweet about B1G not playing and got um all pissed off. So be it. It creeps in on every conversation we have.
