Destroying a top ten team on the road in the SEC sure does help that case.
UGA ain't a top ten team.

UGA is a whinin crying sissie team with a crybaby coach.

Say what you want about LSU but Les Miles was a Michigan Wolverine.(first stringer & a lineman)

Mark Richt was a bench warmer at Miami!

Now ifAlabama plays S.C. as say opposed to Penn State this January and wins then ? YES!! we are back.

Nick Saban's never faced Pete Carroll before.

What does being a first stringer and being a bench warmer have to do with anything?

What's your deal?

Joe Paterno, to this day, holds the record for the most interceptions thrown by a QB at Brown. He was a poor football player in his day.

And, as evidenced by his record, what he did in college has had a drastic effect on how well he's done as a college coach.

Amos Alonzo Staff was an end at a divinity school. Another case where a less than spectacular collegiate career had a direct bearing on the impact of a coach.

Based on numerous posts, I have had a suspicion about Mr. L E Phant's true motives here or his allegiance to the Crimson Tide. I've suspected a rival fan incognito for awhile now.

Time will tell.

I do admire his choice of avatars, though.

Just to add to your comment, Terry.

You see these types of examples in various sports and also at all levels. There have been numerous stories and cases of successful coaches at both the college and professional ranks (football, baseball, and basketball) who have impacted their respective sports and yet never played the game beyond high school, if even then.

What's amazing is the way that some of these individuals have/had gotten into the profession in the first place.

The post actually sounds like it was written by a rival...right up to the "we." The post is odd enough to make me say "we who?"

I seem to recall that there was a poster named L E Phant who was banned on BamaMag for this sort of thing.

just witnessed a pivotal moment in LSU football history. This will be the point on the timeline that separates the "Saban-affected" LSU program with the Miles-affected LSU program.

You saw the beginning of the slide back into SEC mid-tier mediocrity for LSU. Now Les must coach and win with his own recruits.

The first part of LSU's season has been an aberration with the teams they have played. Georgia is gonna torch the Tiger secondary and also hurt the linebackers with those underneath routes.

I may be generous by saying the Hat has three years, if that long, in Red Stick before the Tiger faithful give him the Gerry "DiNardeaux."

Laissez le bon rouleau de temps

:D

*ADDENDUM*

For those of you watching the Georgia/LSU game, the slide continues.

Don't let up, Dawgs!

I wonder if there will be more LSU fans at this year's Independence Bowl than last year's?

you know, I almost got into a fight with some coonass 20'something year old talking shit last year at the Indy Bowl.

I'm a fan of football yes, but I would never go to another teams game or bowl game for that matter and talk shit about the teams on the field.

kinda stupid, but then again "fan" stands for fanatic right?
