I spoke with Alabama commitment Alex Leatherwood, five-star offensive tackle from Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida, a few days ago. He wanted me to reassure Alabama fans his commitment to the Crimson Tide is very solid. He has no intentions to flip. He is enjoying the recruiting process which is a once in a lifetime experience. He said Alabama fans will be very excited with what happens in recruiting these last few months, and said, "we will finish with the best class in recruiting history."
Alabama has pulled in a few graduate transfers the last three years- Jake Coker, Richard Mullaney and Gehrig Dieter. I'm told Alabama is looking at all possible gradate transfers at DB and on the DL. I don't have any names to give just yet. These are the positions UA is evaluating at this time.
Alabama commitment Elliot Baker, five-star offensive tackle from City College of San Francisco, earned a new offer last week from Texas A&M. Baker remains solid with his commitment to Alabama. He will take an official visit to Alabama the weekend of the Iron Bowl.
ICYMI: Trevor Lawrence, 2018 Rivals100 five-star quarterback from Cartersville High School in Georgia, will visit Alabama for the Iron Bowl.
From Woody Wommack
"Despite Lawrence's announcement of a Final Two, Alabama didn't stop its pursuit and now that effort appears to be paying off in the form of a visit. He currently sits atop the Tide's board at the position and will be a priority of the Tide staff during his trip. With the way the schedule breaks, this will be Lawrence's second time watching the Tide play in a month so the school will have ample opportunity to impress him both on and off the field."
