I'm gonna sound like @24and7 for a moment.

I've been reading LSU boards and it seem like they're confident that LSU knows what they're doing and they're getting rid of people and install the right people in place and so... This whole thing reminds me of Texas and Texas A&M few years ago and i got a feeling that what they're doing right now isn't helping thembit we shall see.

Playing along, if that is the case, and the Gov was taking very public shots at Jimmy Sexton yesterday... does that mean they think they have a non-Sexton client lined up? I do think they are trying to set it up where everyone is pulling in the same direction, which is usually a good thing. But the same direction doesn't always mean a positive direction, and that's what I'd be leary of if I was an LSU fan right now. And honestly, I don't think that group is smart enough to orchestrate a smooth plane landing via marionette style piloting.

Based on the circus going on at LSU, I’m betting that their next coach won’t be a big name. Why?

1. The environment is a classic shitshow. No name will want to be in that
2. It’s obvious the decision makers are struggling with the Kelly payout and will do everything possible to avoid that in the future
3. Based on #1 and #2, the only candidates that will have an interest are those who want a next level challenge. They haven’t made the big money yet so are willing to accept less than the $7-$10 million per year package.
