I agree with Ole Miss. Why would you let a non-Ole Miss guy coach your team? Coaching contracts include bonuses for making the CFP, advancing in the CFP and winning the CFP. Why would they pay a guy who’s out the door? All coaches are working on recruiting. Who would Kiffin be recruiting for? When Kiffin was at Alabama and accepted the Florida Atlantic job, he “promised” to focus on coaching Alabama. However, he spent more time recruiting for Florida Atlantic and it impacted his coaching at Alabama. The was one of the reasons Saban let him go before the postseason.

Kiffin has played the poor pitiful me card that he wasn’t allowed to coach into the postseason. That was his decision.

Back wheels of Kiffin's plane to Red Stick hadn't even lifted the tarmac quite yet.

Crazy that we all wanted Saban to fire the guy 3 years ago, and were relieved when Kiffin called him up. Most on here wondered if it was a mutual parting of ways between the two.

Now he's head coaching another SEC (likely playoff) team.

Timing of signing day plays a part and how NIL plays into it. Whatever Coach A promised is gone when Coach A leaves and Coach B takes over.

He probably would have 3 weeks ago... but I don't see him backing out of UF. If they are really dumping Stoops at this point, and don't have a plan in place to replace him already, they are gambling in a chinese casino.

Doesn't change much though from Bama's perspective on that, Golding being gone has made Ole Miss better but they were being carried by their offense more than their defense (Which was improved with Golding) Now that Lane is gone, I expect their offense will take a bit of a dip and could see major regression.
