auburn thought they had Sumrall locked up... it's like they just assumed he'd want to keep Durkin for some reason. Or that, their mere "suggestion" of it wouldn't rub him the wrong way. I wouldn't personally say that the door on Sumrall is completely closed, but it's gonna be hard to get him back at this point. Durkin remains a top target, especially if auburn can win tonight. DIllingham remains a target to some degree. Sexton has supposedly advised Golesh to wait on the Arky offer and try to leverage it with auburn and/or Florida, so in that sense, he's maybe in the mix.

Sumrall is currently target #1 now with Florida, but he doesn't have the overall backing from their fans who view him as Napier 2.0 (which is stupid, IMO). Beyond that... they've talked with Jedd Fisch and word is he'd take it.

A lot of it false tea leaf reading. A lot of it wishcasting. And a lot of it as based on the assumption that Alabama will lose tonight and the ensuring fan fire storm will drive DeBoer out. Penn State has wanted DeBoer from the start. As mentioned way earlier, they'd be kinda dumb not to try and get him. Doesn't mean there is interest on both sides, and unless DeBoer and his family are hiding from literally everyone, there is no mutual interest. He's set up very well right now at UA on and off the field, regardless what the scoreboard later tonight reveals.
 
And one thing to add re: Sumrall... he's in a really good spot in terms of his choices. Choices that would get better if Kiffin did go to LSU, as Ole Miss would be another option for him. But, staying at Tulane I don't think is totally out of the question either. The job he had his eyes on for several years was that Kentucky job... and while I doubt Stoops would agree to a negotiated buyout this season... which is likely the only way Kentucky could afford to dump him... his time there is short at this point. If that is the job Sumrall would be most comfortable with (from a familiarity and stability standpoint), waiting another year or two (at most) for it might make sense to him.

Oh, they'd absolutely fire him ASAP if money wasn't an issue. I'm just saying, I don't think they'll pay out that much right now, and I seriously doubt he'd negotiate for less. Unless it was an extended payment plan where the $ was still guaranteed, regardless of him seeking other work.

I just finished off a catfish filet sandwich with some tartar sauce and a GOOD tomato. The Whopperā„¢ was peaking over my shoulder and getting jealous of the thickness.

Oven baked catfish. (10 minutes in a toaster oven.)
Fried green tomato. (less time)
Brioche bun. (users choice)

What do we add? That's a great base for a sandwich.
