The championship that could've been .. Had it not been for Baylor, Stanford, and some tattoos at Ohio State. And of course a little luck of the Irish. After the Bama loss, I thought for sure this would be the NC we would be watching next week. Ah, how things changed (thank goodness).

Any thoughts on the game tonight? I am thinking KSU will win it in a slugfest that comes down to the final minutes/seconds, maybe on a last second FG. This season, I always felt KSU was a very disciplined, straight-shooting team, especially with Klein at the helm. Not that Oregon will be a pushover by any means. I believe Oregon is favored to win but I think KSU pulls off the "upset".

Anyone else pumped for this game? Lol. I remember earlier in the season, folks were hoping for a UA-Oregon matchup .. I'm glad it turned out to be ND.

My "guy" has the game Oregon -7.5. I've seen it as high as -9. The thing that catches my eye is the O/U at 74. IF I were going to play this game I'd probably lean to the under but then there's that Baylor game that creeps into my mind. It's such an unknown I'm walking away from playing this game.

I'd like to see Kansas State win this game if for no other reason than my respect for Bill Snyder. At the same time, I'd like to see Oregon lose this game if for no other reason than my lack of respect for Chip Kelly (see Will Lyles.)

IF this game has any defensive component I'll watch it. If it turns out to be a "let's trade possessions after scoring" I probably won't make it past the second quarter.

FWIW, if I were to pick one reason Baylor beat KSU is would be their ability to spread out their defense. Coaching can overcome a lot of those mistakes but that certainly plays right into Oregon's hands.

I heard an interview on SiriusXm this afternoon that said the two most recognizable school yells were 1.) Roll Tide & 2.) Go Ducks. He said they are known world wide more than any others.

I'm hoping KS pulls the upset.

Yeah it's off to a good start. So far (having seen all the bowls) I think the best bowls have been the Belk Bowl and the New Orleans Bowl IMO.

Also, I am really surprised "Go Ducks" is so well known! Not really a classic powerhouse .. I bet a lot of folks recognize Notre Dame's fight song though, thanks to the movies! (Mostly "Airplane!" for me ..)

Good game so far, not as exciting as the Fiesta Bowl has been in years past, but pretty good.

That FB for Kansas State is one hell of a blocker, as is the Center for Oregon.
