Another situation that will play itself out is that we have potentially 30 new players coming in, with a 25 limit. Wesley Neighbors will go on Bryant scholarship and not count against the 25, but there are still four others who can't go on scholarship this August. Many have already qualified and none are in a situation where qualifying is hopless. Destin Hood is fairly likely to sign a baseball contract, but other than that we'll have to wait and see.
There have been 4 families that have told the staff that if the numbers don't work themselves out they'll be willing to pay for their child until a scholarship opens up. Those names have been mentioned a few times on different forums, but, on more than one occasion a few of these parents have asked that this information be withheld from public knowledge.
I'm not saying this player is one of them, but consider Barrett Jones as example. You think his parents can afford it? Considering their next door neighbor is Jimmy Sexton is should give you an idea of their financial stability. A few more of our players come from very solid financial circumstances.
