šŸˆ Fall Camp, 2025: News, notes, observations : 'Meat Church' cooks BBQ for the Tide.

So now Young is likely RB1, right? Then probably Hill/Washington coming in and getting carries? Two guys I'm curious about are Dear and Riley now. I've heard good things about dear, maybe he can get some significant snaps this season. And Riley to maybe, I remember being very high on him coming out of high school.

When fall camp started it was practically a given Dear was going to 'shirt. It was a true "deer in the headlights" thing. He's had a good camp so far this fall. Over the last few days I've had a few mention him specifically. In the scrimmage he did what everyone expected (talent wise:) quick and he can move. His handicap is assignment football.

I think I've seen Riley's name once: it may have been one of your posts.
But we're loaded at Running back,
Bodies. They still don't have an all around back: Jam was getting closer (but it's not his style.)

How in the world and who gave him the concussion?
Those guys in the trenches butt heads all of the time. Likely did it in a drill. When my son was in HS, he suffered 3-4 concussions. Each time, I carried him to the Dr and I learned that what we grew up knowing ā€œgetting our bell rung or seeing starsā€ was in fact a concussion. I figured that from my time in junior high thru 2 years as a walk on, I suffered as many as 8 concussions, maybe more.

Same here but no walk on opportunity. Finished in mid 70’s, a coach was assigned ā€œdoctorā€ duties. He was excellent though as he had played at Howard College, now Samford. BTW, we were allowed 1 handful of ice midway through practice. Thinking we were more acclimated to the heat, hardly anybody had AC, had to play outside, nothing to do in the house. My how times have changed…

I've not watched the video as of yet...understand he's picking Bama over TX in the SECCG (and I doubt TX gets that far, but ...)

With the exception of a few little things everyone I know were pleased with what they saw Saturday. According to one guy that talked with Josh, Pate is high on this Bama team.

(And here I am this weekend comparing this team to 2020 in terms of how much I'm liking what I'm hearing.)
