🏈 🙄 Agiye Hall: “One thing that really stood out is the culture. Bama fans — they’re not really loving, if I could say — even when you leave.

I'm seeing on fb (so take it fwiw) that the leadership council voted to remove him from the team. His own teammates?
I've seen this circulating on twitter. It is possible...

Four of the names on the list were names that graced the list last season: quarterback Bryce Young, linebackers Will Anderson Jr. and Henry To'oTo'o and defensive back Jordan Battle. This year, however, a fifth name was added to the list in defensive lineman DJ Dale.

The Crimson Tide's leadership council has traditionally been composed of just four players. That being said, Saban said that Dale's emergence as a leader on the team warranted him being added as a fifth player to the team's core recognized leadership group.

"We have four guys that were on the leadership group last year, and we've added one," Saban said on Monday. "Henry's been a really, really good leader, Jordan Battle's been a really good leader. We added DJ Dale to the leadership group because he's emerged as a leader in the offseason program. Bryce has been a really good leader and affected a lot of people in a positive way and has developed more and more of a presence as his confidence has grown throughout last season to be more assertive, to get other players to do the things that they need to do to be successful.

Well. He can never say he didnt have a chance....
We sit behind the bama bench ...kinda...and watched him interacting with coaches ...and other players....he appeared....to be an unhappy camper...
We saw the same thing during several games last year. I can’t remember which game but during that game he mainly sat and rarely seemed to be watching the game. Very sad. So many kids with the right attitude would give anything to have half of his natural abilities.

Under CNS, the leadership council has been the real deal. It's gotten rid of players & it has given players second chances. I respect the hell out of CNS for having this as a part of his program. It creates real stakeholdership & we can tell when that leadership council is effective or half-assed (which is usually associated with youth/arrogance).

This is how I imagine it would operate.
Young speaks with QB, RB, WR
Dale speaks with DL
Anderson and Henry speaks with LBs
Battle speaks with Safety and CBs.

To get a feel on the situation about Hall and how he handled things...

They get together and make a decision and then meet with Saban and make their recommendation to Saban. He takes action and make it happen.
The latest incident with him reaching out to school, probably pissed leadership off and said "cut him loose."

I'm just throwing shit on the wall.

No one speaks to OL? Maybe that’s been part of the problem.

Great read from 2016 on how Saban handles problem players and how his doghouse has three levels. I love the 2014 quote by him concerning players who he has to kick off the team never go on to be anything academically or in football. I had not read or heard that one before.
