Just listening to D&B radio and they were going over the "initial" info on the stadium expansion.

8K+ general seating (I think he said 8300)
1700 Club level seats.
36 sky boxes
Office for the Crimson Tide Foundation
A donor Hall of Fame.
2 new video boards (same as North End Zone)
Also all the cabling/utilities needed for the television production for ESPN/CBS will be ran underground. All the cables outside the west side of the stadium will be underground and ran to the trucks.

Of course nothing is finalized yet, but found some of this info interesting.

"Nothing finalized yet."

Well, sort of...

Coach Moore is meeting this week with the BOT members to seek approval for the final approval.

FWIW, the number I have is 8500 upper deck seats. BUT, if we went with 8500, 1700 club level seats, etc...we'd be talking over 102K+

Picture released by UA yesterday:

I will start saving my money. :) I doubt it will ever make it to me, but I want two of The Zone seats. Heck, I'd take 2 more just about anywhere in the stadium.

Don't forget that there will be a loss of seats in the current bowl, which will mean that the final count should fall ~101K.

I know LBS...I want to say the North lost around 900+ before it gained...

If that makes sense...

TP along the same lines of losing seats. You are well connected around the SEC.

I want to say last fall I read somewhere that UT was doing some renovating and adding some club type seating. I want to say that it would decrease some of their seating to below 100k. Do you know anything about this? Maybe Orange Addict might know too. Just wondering b/c that would make us the largest in the SEC.

What not mentioned in the article...

New camera's for the CTSN productions!!!!

As in, a decent PPV broadcast is only a short time away!

Butcha's know what sucks so bad is....even with the expansion poor working class blue collar stiffs like your truly here.....are still gonna get priced out.
I'd love season tickets....but with the tide pride waiting list stretching from here to hell and back.......i might as well hang up any idea of even sniffing a pair of those 8,500 seats. PERIOD. which is why i'm apposed to boxes and Club (Elitist) seating.
Since when was there ever a rule that you had to be an Alum or a Booster, or wealthy to be a fan of UA Football? Every Game i go to i feel like i'm out of place. I prefer the upper U sections on the west stands, left of the pressbox, and everyone there just has this damn God awful air of supiouority about them like their all better than you because you had to buy your tickets from a season ticket holder or a vendor out side the gate.
A-day is the only exception.

Just my feelings on it.

I've been a Tide Prider since 2001. Im a lowly Century Club level with my seats in the lower bowl about 16 rows up at the goal line.

I'm gonna keep sending in my $300 donation for 2 seats and buying the tickets until they price me out. I got lucky and got in when the team was down, and Im not leaving! Its my one major expenditure every year. I always find ways to have the funds.

If the game is at home I will be there.

ROLL TIDE!

We're all normal common people down low in my section. I actually chose to spend less when I had the chance to spend more, move seats and re-order.

Not to defend the prices, but Alabama isn't the only doing this. And don't even try to go to a pro game. We went to one Falcons game at $125 a ticket. Unfortunately it's the whole supply and demand issue.

They have the supply and we demand it at any price.

So the University should lower ticket prices to accomdate your income? Maybe you could talk to Obama he might print some more $$ just for the "unfortunate" who make less money and can't afford to buy season tickets. lol

get on tide pride waiting list... start saving money by the time they get around to you, you should have the $$.

I feel the same way with regards to Rolles Royce, Rolex, Lear Jet, the caviar industry, and Super Models. None see it as I do. So I get over myself and have a great time attending one Bama game a year, driving my Ford, wearing my Timex, flying Southwest Airlines, eating pizza, loving my wife, and thanking God everyday for being one of the richest among the human race.

What I look forward to is having 8500 FEWER Bama fans in the market for my off-the-street ticket purchase --- SWEET.

I also am Century Club (it's $260 for 2 seats). U4-CC, next to top row. Under canopy so we've got shade. No snobs in my section. I got in before the Shula's last year and when the last expansion created several thousand new seats.

AlabamaAubKiller will hate me for this, but I have requested to increase my allotment to 8 seats. Anyone currently in Tide Pride gets their request taken care of before anyone in the waiting list that is outside the system. I only have about 80 points...not even enough to get away game offers other than bowl games. I am doubtful that 6 of the new seats will be available for me.

The reason I am doing this is simple. Alabama football tickets are one of he most recession proof investments you can make. I would advise anyone already in the program to do the same. I requested seats anywhere up to the level above mine. A friend of mine has two seats also in Century level. He was going to be unable to go to almost all the games last year. He let me buy all his tickets at face value. I sold them on Stub Hub and doubled my money. My goal is to have eight, sell four, and use the profit to pay for the four I use. Even in Shula's last year, they were always good for at least face value, and more for the bigger games.
