Exit Exams: A Final Review of the Tide Senior Class
By the RTB.com Recruiting Staff

Over the last week and a half the recruiting staff here are RollTideBama.com have been reviewing the contributions of outgoing seniors. Jason Argo (Argo,) Brandon Foshee (Porter,) and Terry Pellman (TerryP) have looked at these players careers here at Alabama, looked back at how they were ranked by the major recruiting services when they were coming out of high school, and then re-ranked them based on how well they did playing for Alabama.

Exit Exams covers players like Bobby Greenwood, Antoine Caldwell, Andre Smith and the rest of the group.

It's the featured article on the RollTideBama.com Blog today.

Surfing around, I just came across this link.

The author is a Notre Dame fan but he's done some solid research on the rankings, how a player does in college (IE: star, bust, ok, etc..)

He has his results up for the 2005 top 50 recruits using Rivals and Scout's rankings.

As it ends up, close to 40% of the kids who were thought to be stars ended up being stars. Some don't make it through the programs they commit to and other just have average careers even though they do contribute.

It's a little long, but worth the read.

This link should take you directly there if you give it a second to load considering it's a trackback url. If you are impatient, look for the August 7th entry.
