so will Bama get a RB out of the portal? Miller is the only guy with real experience.
I don't think so, neither back has shown flashes of brilliance but Miller has the better skillset for the offensive system. As I stated previously, both have terrible vision for finding cuts and holes. Miller should be staying though, so maybe in the new style he'll be able to shine more.

I hate to see Hayes leave. Also I know this year he did not get the carries and production I am sure he hoped for but he had to know that would change next year. He is the only RB coming back with major experience. He would be the go to guy so it seems like there is more to the story.

Jam Miller played more this season and was better overall. Not much more to the story other than he wants to be the feature back and he's had a foot out the door for a while.

Jam is gone correct? That is why I was thinking he would be the feature back this year. We definetly have less talent at that position than we used to have. Not any Harris or Henry's in that RB room.

When you lose players like this it is going to be an issue eventually. Not trying to overreact but seems like this is pointing to some foundational issue. What that is I do not know. Maybe it is the nature of the new college football world but it is apparent he does not see Bama as the best place for him and I want to understand why. This is Bama so does it really come down to $$ and we cannot compete or the system does not fit him or he thinks to highly of himself? Something is not right because this dude would be the guy next year.

Maybe #BoughtByBama does not fit either. If he was bought by bama he would still be here.
I’m not referring to him. I’m referring to the fact that programs have to buy their rosters now, and with so many players transferring every season, no one school “builds” players anymore. It’s all about buying.

Yeah I am really done with this new world but my love of the Bama I grew up with still trumps that.

Maybe #BoughtFromBama is a better hashtag.

On 2nd thought #BuiltByBama maybe does apply to the other programs rosters.

Haynes - 5.7 yards per carry is damn strong. Hate he didn’t get to tote the rock more. He closed out last season really strong, was excited he stuck around for this year.

~4 yds/carry vs Power Four
< 3.8 yds/carry vs 5 SEC opponents
< 3 yds/carry vs 3 SEC opponents

I know this, his vision wasn’t the best at times. Reminded me at times of Trent Richardson but without the size to run people over.

Carries were diminished too because we had to beat people by throwing the ball in most games early in tge season to stay in it. Take LSU where Milroe went off and opportunities decreased.

If you look at Haynes stats, he got 8 carries per game against SEC foes. And I mean, he got 8 carries exactly in almost all of them. Strange stat. It’s like they had a limit on him I hope he does well at his next stop.

Milroe effect. Milroe has to go or this will continue.
