Back when I was a kid — and I’m not talking about a mischievous teenager discovering girls and facial hair, but a real little kid — there was a show on television called “Who Do You Trust?”

If you are so young you think rotary phones and typewriters are from the Stone Age, I’m sure you've never heard of the show that Johnny Carson used to emcee. Wait, you’ve never heard of Johnny Carson?

Oooh-kay, let’s move along.

The reason I bring up the show is that the theme (not the theme song; even I can’t remember that) keeps running through my head as I look in the distance to see the start of college football and especially SEC football.

Who Do You Trust?

Me? I trust Alabama.

That’s it.

That’s the list.

Usually there is an X-factor team or two when the season starts. This year, it feels like nothing but X-factors.

Who would I trust?

I guess if I had to trust someone else in the west, it'd be LSU. And although I hate them, I think the Viles are becoming very trustworthy again.

I think LSU implodes this year.

I tend to agree with the writer. With BAMA, you know what you are going to get. With everyone else, when expectations are high, these teams flop! LSwho hasn't been the same since the title game in NOLA! While the Viles have most all of their starters back, they still aren't very deep, have a schedule with a mean 4 game stretch, and they still have Butch Jones on the sidelines. Now if the expectations for the Barn were doom and gloom, then those Bastards would be a team to wager on! A&M blows through the front end of their schedule then sucks ass after BAMA!
