If true, I would LOVE to know the story behind that hate.

I wonder if it is related to the losing streak, or the classless finger raising; or something relating to recruiting that none of us are aware with; or something that carries back to his days at LSU; or even something personal with Tubberville.

I just find it hard to believe that he would be pumping up a rivally to players who have seen it more times than he has.

He commented on the "finger waving" to the UA players in the lockerroom after last year's 36-0 beatdown. He wants to dominate everyone on the schedule, but he knows the importance of dominating auburn. It didn't take long after his arrival here for them to provide him with some reasons to want to dominate them too... like Tuberville's antics, some recruiting stuff, and other such stuff... Make no mistake, he meant what he said when he held that little impromptu yelling fest with his offense on the sideline's during last year's game.

can someone hit me up with audio or video from that incident. i think i saw it last year but dont really remember.

You talking about the Saban quote? To my knowledge there was no audio or video of Saban making the statement... the quote was just relayed on to everyone during the CBS broadcast from Tracy Wolfson who overheard him yelling it to the players.

I think part of his hate goes back to when Awbarn stomped on LSU's "tiger eye" midfield. I think he lost any and all respect he might of had for Tubs and Awbarn at that point. That along with the fact that he understands our in-state rivalry and how much it means to us (and them) to come out victorious.

birdman, Tracy Wolfson was the one who said it IIRC. Given CNS's attitude i have no reason to believe otherwise. I would love to see a vid from it but haven't had any luck.

edit - porter beat me to it.

Well we all know Greg threw a late TD pass last year, even though I think that had more to do with him reading the bump and run...I still think we rubbed it in a little.

I'm hoping for a little more of that this season.

Well? If his hate was against Tubs, he may just make a considerable lead and then just run the ball or pass with star jackson. If the hate was both (Tubs AND Auburn), then expect him to run the score up as much as possible...

I remember hearing Tracy say something about Nick saying "you know how much I hate these guys" but like at Birdman's house it can get very loud here during gameday. What exactly is the whole story and what was he reported as saying? Also, what did he say about the finger waving to the players in the locker room?

Concerning the finger waving, he said, " Here is the first of many."

BTW.........we are physically impossible of scoring enuigh points to make me happy.
