🏈 Don't expect a sophomore slump from Jalen Hurts

Don't believe people ever questioned Jalen's arm strength. Just his accuracy. From the looks of the throw, he looks to have improved. Not a Jalen hater, so before someone gets their panties in a bunch, downfield accuracy has been the complaint.

Could be something as simple as footwork. He's kind of a long strider and even on his intermediate and especially long throws he would kick his lead leg wide like he was digging for one more yard. I hope we get us a QB guru that can help his fundamentals in the pocket.

Former Heisman winner Chris Weinke an analyst now to work on the technical aspect of the position in the off-season. And starting next Spring (2018) he can be full-time on the field.

To be honest, I have sort of suspected the issues stem from his footwork. QB was my position and I coached it at the HS level for years. Jalen does seem to get too wide of a base and then overstrides and thus throws uphill. This causes balls to sail high and diminish accuracy.
