I get laughed at quite often(by non-Bama fans) for saying this, but due to his size, speed, and intelligence he could be the next Ray Lewis/ Derrick Thomas in the NFL.

Let's also not forget that Ro's 'twin terror' will be back next year as well.;)

would love to see him come back and (with hightower) shut everyone down all next year.

but he has proved he can play, and deserves everything that will come to him. theres no doubt in my mind that saban will encourage him to go....now what momma says may be the kicker.

but i know if i showed my momma the signing bonus and promised her i would finish my degree at a later date she would be all for it.

Everyone has already said all that needs to be said about this. He SHOULD go pro, and most likely will. But if his heart desires to do this again next year, say, if we should lose to Texas, then we will have a nasty, nasty defense.

I think about what happened to Hightower this year, and feel certain that the decision was made that week afterwards. I hope he's been able to avoid the sports agents and their intermediaries during this season.

Never underestimate the love for Alabama that a boy from Alabama can have though.

I have no idea.
Happy if he stays.
Happy if he goes.
Really hard to define injury around you coming back another year. That is a chance they all have, it just happens. It is not about jinx or coming back another year. I will be happy for him either way....I still see him leaving and me cheering for whoever picks him up...

I believe CNS has stated before that he gets information from the pros giving him a great indication of where a kid might go in the draft; if he is projected as a top 10-15 pick then he urges them to go on into the draft whereas if they're outside the top 50, he suggests that they stay to improve their draft status next season. With that being said, I seriously doubt he returns next season. He may fool me and if he does then great. He may stay to finish his degree, if he hasn't gotten it yet or he may stay because he wants to play with Hightower again, or he could stay to try and win another NC. Who knows?

McClain has yet to file with NFLDAB

"I haven't sent it. Coach (Nick) Saban advised me to do it, just in case, but I haven’t done it (yet)," McClain said.

"Naturally, you’ll think about the NFL. But it’s not even my focus right now. I really couldn’t care less about the NFL at this point," McClain said. "I still have another game to play, and that’s my focus."

Along with McClain, UA cornerback Kareem Jackson is considered an early entry possibility from the Crimson Tide.

Ok, so maybe I should read the entire thread before posting my $0.02!

A destroyer of blockers, annihilator of ball carriers AND he's grammatically sensitive. What's not to love?

IMO he is a lock to go, but there is a wrench in the gears of the NFL draft process right now as it pertains to player evaluations (though it won't have an impact on Rolo). Teams, scouting services, and the advisory committee are behind the 8 ball because of some legal holdups. Player evaluations are way behind schedule that it is likely to have a negative impact on some JR's that are looking into leaving early. The holdup had to do with conferences wanting to be compensated for game film. After a stalemate well into the season, they agreed to a one year deal with the NFL, so the film is flowing to the services now, but way behind schedule.

In related news, it appears that unless something changes, UF is going to be hit very hard by the draft, in terms of players leaving early. As for BAMA juniors, Kareem Jackson is one to keep an eye on. His stock is pretty high.
