🏈 DJ Hall Arrested on Drug Charges

Controlled substance charge is a felony and is not something as simple as a dime bag. Nor is it drug paraphernalia which consists of scales, baggies or smoking devices. Marijuana is classified as....

Possession of Marijuana 1st (felony)
Possession of Marijuana 2nd (misdemeanor)

Possession of Controlled Substance could be anything from prescription narcotics to cocaine. Don't know how true it is, but I've heard it's the latter of those examples.

So no, this isn't over a plant that can't be taxed.

I don't smoke the stuff anymore. was a pssing fad with me as a teenager. But i'm not going to tell anyone else they cannot.
To me that's unamerican. As long as your not driving under the influance....i have no problem with it. I say leagalize it and tax the hell out of it.
Same as tabaco & beer. AS it stands now we're spending far to much damn money on an over populated prison system that doesnt work.
Anyone know how much it cost the state to feed, house & care for a prisoner in this state? How much less would we have to pay in suport of those convicts
if there were less of them becuse they weren't sitting in prison for an OZ or two of pot? It's kinda stupid that we (State) are spending money
when we could be making money. Same thing with gamabling.
This is another one of those Centrist issus i get on.
The CONSERVATIVE side of me says we're spending too damn much taxpayer money houseing inmates we don't need to keep in prison when we could be generating that same money in taxing pot sales.
The LIBERAL side of me says we need to alievaite over crowding in prison and leagalse pot to stop the crime assocaited with it.

and FYI for those that don't know. there is a TAX stamp you can purchase for the state of alabama for the sale of illeagal drugs. You are required by the state to pay a tax on the proceeds
of any & all illeagl drugs sold inside Alabama. However if you do get this stamp...look foward to the ABI knocking on your door in short order.
All it is good for is that you've paid your taxes and the state can't confiscate your property in lew ofthe taxes. (Property meaning your home, car, ior cash on hand ect.)
I have a buddy whose son used to work fothe DEA here in Al. That's where i gotthe tax stamp stuff from.

Very, very, very few people are in prison because they are pot heads. This is always an argument used by marijuana advocates but it is so far from the truth it's not funny. If a man is in prison for weed, it's because he is either selling large amounts, or has multiple/other charges to go along with the marijuana. Most marijuana charges are in the 2nd degree range. People don't go to prison for misdemeanors. A large percentage of those charges are reduced to fines if the subject agrees to some type of color code or a program. Prisons are overcrowded, but only because we need more prisons.

You are very right about that. While that is a false claim made by a lot of advocates, though, there are plenty of other claims that are very very true. Marijuana being illegal is beyond asinine.

I don't see what the big deal is here. The guns were obviously for hunting squirrels and for shooting cans. The weights were for the fresh fruits and vegitebles that DJ picks up at the local farmers market.

Nothing to see folks. Move along.
