Isn't it sort of un-professional for a coach to run his mouth like this? What I mean is, you may be looking for another job one day as a coordinator or position coach if things don't work out at UT (kinda like coach O @ OleMiss). It doesn't make much sense to diss every coach in your league publicly because if you fail as HC and get fired you probably wont get another shot at a HC job for a while and will need to work for someone.

On the one hand, I think it's sort of amusing that Kiffin feels so confident that he can make comments like he did yesterday at the "recruiting" celebrations.

However, in this conference, with the egos that exist in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa and other places, making comments like that will get you beat up BIG TIME during the season. UT will be much better soon, but they might take some serious beat-downs during the meantime. UF took it easy on Tennessee late in that game last year, out of respect.

He's pissed off quite a few coaches in the SEC. Spurrier, Saban, Meyer, Richt, and now possibly Miles(Jackson situation) will do their best to not just beat, but embarrass Tennessee as long as Kiffin is there.

FWIW, I don't doubt for a minute that Urban Meyer cheated. He's already been caught doing some shady things, but apparently he's untouchable. What bother me is Kiffin's big mouth and playing to the crowd. It's all fun and games until someone has 50+ dropped on them by Tebow the Wonder Child. Kiffin better enjoy it while it lasts.

I personally like how Kiffin says that Nu'keese didn't tell anyone at Florida that he was going to visit Tennessee to escape the pressure that florida was putting on him, and then said that Urban knowingly called him repeatedly while he was on-campus. I thought Bill Battle was an OK guy and Johnny Majors was a class act through and through. Having said that, I agree with your sentiment going forward starting with Fulmer. This Kiffin character hasn't impressed me as being the sharpest knife in the drawer to this point. As several have already said, I don't think that ticking off the rest of the coaches in the SEC should be your first order of business if you want to succeed in this conference...

I wouldn't go that far. All Kiffin is doing is gaining the love of the fan base because he knows full well that everything is about to turn sour in August. His talk is a red herring to distract the mostly uneducated fanbase from realizing how much their program sucks right now.

On the bright side, if you don't like Kiffin he'll more than likely be gone after 3 years. Giving UT's history of coaching hires, he will more than likely be replaced by some other moron that gets on the nerves of every other SEC school. RTR!
