🏈 Did Geno Smith play yesterday?

I like Jarrick's aggressiveness, and Landon will continue to develop into a star, I believe.

I'm wondering if we have any current corner good enough to keep Humphrey off the field as a true freshman.

RTR,

Tim

I like Jarrick too, he seems like a smart player too.

Didn't CNS say that Geno was our best DB? Why wasn't he in there more?

Like Porter said, Belue is def. the best corner, I would say HaHa is the best DB, but Geno probably has alot more to do to work himself back into the rotation.

Honestly IMO I believed Geno had the best shot covering Evans, but I believe he was too far in the dog house. He has the cover skills to be shut down, against Evans...maybe not so much.

I don't think anyone can shut down Evans. I'm not sure where the hell A&M fines all of these receivers, but good god are they beast. Look at Ryan Swope last year, he's built up like a linebacker, but he runs a 4.3. Mike Evans has massive hands, I'm guessing he runs around a 4.4-4.5, 6-5, and 225 pounds. How the hell do you think any corner in CFB can stop that? Not to mention that he also has a pretty vertical. If I were Johnny and I wanted to throw up another punt, I'd throw his little punts his way 100% of the time, because 9/10 times, he will come down with it.

Note to Saban: Whatever receivers A&M is recruiting, you recruit too.

I don't think he was recruited by many schools, he's been a big get for the Aggies, no doubt about it.

Coach Sherman had an eye for talent, it just never unfolded on the field like it should have. Probably due to his play calling abilities...

It seems like I read something in the last few months about Evans not playing football until his SR year...been a basketball guy.

1st round, yes. First taken? Unless Lee has a career ending injury he's your first receiver to go...

That's who I was referring to in the saying a lot, if stats mean anything it's a possibility at least. Definitely not going to have a great season over there at USCw, doesn't take away from his talents though of course.
