I'm sitting here watching the Troy-Ark State game. One of the Ark State kids just supposedly tied the FBS sack record with Terrell Suggs... What has be baffled is they have Suggs and this other kids 44 sacks as the record and Derrick Thomas wasn't even listed in the top five, yet Derrick Thomas had more than 50 career sacks? What the hell is the deal here?

You have got to be shitting me? The NCAA has got to be the most ass backwards organization out there. So, they just pretend sacks, tackles, picks, etc. never happened before 2000?

They don't recognize champions in FBS really either. They just list ones others recognize. I think we have like 21 if we lump all the ones they list together.

Just pulled the data from http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/2017/FBS.pdf and here are the years the NCAA has Alabama listed under.

1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1945, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015

So 20 so far. Some are a joke (Houlgate was the only one who picked us in 1941 for example) but many have us picked by multiple organizations.
