💬 Delusional hosts Delusional: One last thought about the UGA vs Notre Dame game last weekend.

Over the last few days I've glanced at a few UGA sites to see what fan reaction(s) were/are after their game against Notre Dame.

A lot I expected although there is one trend that comes as a little bit of a surprise: sort of.

One general narrative about their trip was how respectful, polite, and engaging the ND fan base was to the visitors from UGA. Now, I am pretty confident in saying they were likely a bit intimidated seeing around 40K inside the stadium for the game with more outside without tickets.

But, I'm still left wondering if this "meeting" between the two teams was nothing more than a slobber-fest.

Is it logical that we'd see two teams who consider themselves to be college football royalty--TODAY--to get along so easily? Was this a case of two delusional fan bases doing nothing more than stroking each other's egos?

Inquiring minds ...

There's no animosity between the two fan bases. They've only played once (?) and that was almost 40 years ago. In addition, neither team has set the world on fire over the last few years (even though ND made it to the NC game and got schooled by Alabama). I think both teams saw it as an opportunity to measure where they were in the rebuilding process.

I have heard this from multiple Georgia fans that were there. I opened the conversation asking how awful their fans were and such, and to my surprise every single one of them gave the highest compliments to their fans and how nice they were. They could obviously see how puzzled I looked in the face, and I had to explain my experience in Miami against them where they were the biggest assholes and most obnoxious fans I have ever encountered. I can't even come up with a reason to why it may have been so different, unless these last few garbage seasons had humbled them. They haven't been the same since we put them in their place. But yes, very unexpected to hear how pleasant they were to another obnoxious and unrealistic fanbase.

You aint buying nuthin UGA is selling still.....!!!!!!! Lol

The fan base is delusional.....ur right....but KS will get them back in the conversation (outside of GA)...... time will tell

@BamaFan334 you were at the game in Miami right? Did you go to the last with UGA? Now which one would you say was the BIGGEST A**hole fans? Just asking? OK! anyone ?

Georgia fans are cocky. Notre Dame fans simply think they are better than you. Attempted to start fights and act like we're a bunch of backwoods rednecks that fuck our sisters. Georgia fans have a sense of entitlement, but you can usually handle them. I was to the point where I didn't care if the Notre Dame fans made it home alive or not.
