Suspending Dareus is SOP until the issue of a violation is resolved. Usually the school suspends, then petitions the NCAA for reinstatement.

That being said, the most you could say is that Marcel accepted a trip to South Beach with several other players. I think it will work out to be much less than that.

We have a good thing going & we will be under the microscope due to our success & mistakes.

Therefore, Dareus shouldn't have been there. Plain & simple. CNS agrees, otherwise this suspension wouldn't have happened. This kid will be busting his balls over camp even if he is cleared because UA doesn't want to have any hint of NCAA violations.

After hearing the whole story it makes more sense now. This isn't Dareus' fault for the most part. He was led into this and left as soon as he knew what was up. It's sort of disappointing how many people are ready to throw this guy under the bus before knowing any details. Even I assumed some things, unfortunately.

Nothing wrong with remaining cautiously optimistic on this issue, but I would encourage folks to treat quotes in the paper (or on blogs), unless they are from Saban (or a UA press release), with some skepticism.

Yes, let's not jump the gun here. We're still in the early stages of information and there are many factors that may help Dareus out here. Just have to stay positive and wait for the university or Saban to make it gospel.
