šŸˆ Dabo and Jimbo are right; ACC > SEC right now

Kevin is hardly sharing new light and this has been kicked around since last season. The truth is nobody is really arguing that the ACC got the best of it last season as a conference. As far as the SEC is concerned, every team not named Alabama lost at least 4 games and they almost had to draw names out of a hat to find someone to play in the sugar bowl. But the rest of it is how quickly things can shift back in the SEC's favor.

The talent is still pouring into our league unlike any other and that makes turn arounds quick and painful for opponents. It's the coaches and the QB play that has to get better this year. Maybe one is more the extension of the other. This season promises a lot better execution behind center and maybe some of "Saban's boys" finally get it figured out.

And a lot of the reason for 4 loss teams is parity....everybody has talent.....lots of it....
But...acc vs sec....or big 10 ( with 14 teams)........
i guess its hard to compare...and its how you compare....
I think going ito any stadium in the SEC......any.....is a challenge....
Not so with acc...or big 10...or pac 12...

Last time I checked, nobody in our league goes around saying they are built like an ACC team.

Jimbo's very words a few years ago with FSU was that they were built like an SEC team.

They won the Heisman last year and the national championship. The year before when the SEC did that very exact same thing, we didn't have to do commercials to advertise it.

I know this is all media build up in efforts of getting clicks, but we all know this is garbage. You don't have one solid year and start crowing about how elite you are. The reason the SEC is still the standard and the beast everyone wants to slay is because we have held a higher standard for years and years. It's just like Alabama, we keep rising to the occasion. We didn't win one championship and fade away for 35 years like a Clemson, or 14 years like a Florida State. 16 to 6 in National Championships since 1980 (was going back to '84 when I was born but decided to go back to a decade starter in 1980 for round purposes). I don't see that as something for the ACC to hang their hat on. And that's Florida State winning three, Clemson winning two, and Georgia Tech winning one. We have had Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida all win one in that amount of time, so a little more spreading around that one or two teams gathering the entire conference's claim. My next comment of course will seem like sour grapes, but it's fun to throw this out there too, the ACC is less than 17 seconds away from two of those Championships not even being there and losses to SEC teams. That point is moot, but just goes to show there is much more distance between the conferences than currently being written. Clemson wants no part of us on a yearly basis, neither does Florida State hence why they never came to the SEC.

And if Clemson right now is so damn elite, then how is the barn favored by many to win their game this year?

The deal is that fans within the SEC are saying if you subtract Alabama, the SEC is filled with parity. If you subtract Clemson from the ACC what is it about the ACC that doesn't smack of mediocrity and parity for 2016?

Louisville 9-4
Florida State 10-3

NC State 7-6
Wake Forest 7-6
Boston C 7-6
Syracuse 2-6

Virginia Tech 10-4
Miami 9-4
North Carolina 8-5
Pittsburgh 8-5
Georgia Tech 9-4
Duke 1-7 4-8
Virginia 2-10

Didn't Tenn beat VaTech and didn't LSU give the Heisman winner a lesson on what life in the SEC West would look like? The same Heisman winner that humiliated the Seminoles. Not sure why Fisher thought his football team did enough against ole miss and the rest of his schedule to pronounce outright victory. Not going to take long to get the rematch.
