I know this is all media build up in efforts of getting clicks, but we all know this is garbage. You don't have one solid year and start crowing about how elite you are. The reason the SEC is still the standard and the beast everyone wants to slay is because we have held a higher standard for years and years. It's just like Alabama, we keep rising to the occasion. We didn't win one championship and fade away for 35 years like a Clemson, or 14 years like a Florida State. 16 to 6 in National Championships since 1980 (was going back to '84 when I was born but decided to go back to a decade starter in 1980 for round purposes). I don't see that as something for the ACC to hang their hat on. And that's Florida State winning three, Clemson winning two, and Georgia Tech winning one. We have had Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida all win one in that amount of time, so a little more spreading around that one or two teams gathering the entire conference's claim. My next comment of course will seem like sour grapes, but it's fun to throw this out there too, the ACC is less than 17 seconds away from two of those Championships not even being there and losses to SEC teams. That point is moot, but just goes to show there is much more distance between the conferences than currently being written. Clemson wants no part of us on a yearly basis, neither does Florida State hence why they never came to the SEC.
