College football's wild, weird season limping to finish line with COVID woes and conspiracy tweets

Ohio State insists it'll be ready to go despite facing another bout of COVID-19 issues. Nick Saban's daughter thinks the Buckeyes just want to postpone the title game to let OSU's star QB heal. Of course the 2020 season was going to end like this.

As many of you know, I live in southern Ohio. Franklin county, the home of Columbus and OSU are reporting these numbers as of today.
Confirmed cases-88,447
Hospital- 3,154
Deaths-700
I have not been given the number of cases as of yet to day. I get a daily update for school purposes. COVID is rampant in our state. The little county that I live in with a population of about 29,000 people had 98 confirmed new cases yesterday, 10 hospitalizations and another death. Most places to eat are doing carry out only, masks are required and enforced when you are outside (doctor statement is an exception) but rarely do I see anyone without a mask on. I HAVE LOST 6-7 PEOPLE THAT I KNOW PERSONALLY FROM THIS VIRUS. If you really want numbers, check out Channels 10, 6 o 4 news and see what they are saying.

I do not think for one second, OSU is trying postpone the championship game. If Bama players come up ill in the next few days, we are going to be in the same situation. Hopefully, for BOTH teams and staff they will not have any outbreaks and the game can be played as scheduled.

2021 will play out similar to 2020. Vaccines will take time.

Just glad Biden will enforce masks for 100 days. Where the fuck has he been? Only a handful of states don't have mask mandates...

The only thing that has increased is TESTING. Check the numbers of deaths for the year or years prior to 2019. I would wager that there isn’t a significant difference.

Radio host here did some research around Dec 15. Deaths in the US were almost exactly the same number as that date in 2019. And in TN, traffic deaths were UP 100 deaths (a caller tried to say the 300k COVID deaths were offset by reduction in traffic deaths due to folks not driving... ). Also suicides are up. Just a few data points to offer. No opinions noted.

I dont ever wear one due to childhood asthma.....I have three friends who have contracted the China flu, none had severe symptoms, but all three were strict mask wearers....even outside..

Same here! I wear one here at school, only when I have a student get within 6 feet of me or when I leave my gym to go into the main building. My family and I have been dosing up hard on our Vitamins and on Zinc. So far, (knock on wood) we have been China Flu free.
