this may have been discussed already sorry if it has...

but iv'e heard people saying Mark crying is just as bad as Tim crying. I don't agree at all....Tim was crying out of sadness because he lost...Mark was crying out of joy because he won. That is completely different in my mind.

Exactly. Not to mention that Mark could not HIDE from his tears whereas, for whatever reason, Tebow saw fit to cry on the sidelines without a helmet or towel to cover his face.

I don't want us Bama fans to look like hypocrites regarding the whole crying deal. It's much ado about nothing, but let's just be respectful of Tebow now. I had some laughs at his expense for a day or two, but never laughing at his level of attitude, work ethic, and faith. The guy is a 100% class individual, much like our own guy, Ingram.

I think it's time to just drop the whole thing. The world has moved on.

And I think one of our admins also requested no jokes about Tebow crying. Ive seen a few posts where people are jabbing at Tebow for crying and dont find them all that funny. Show some restraint and NOT post shots at him.

I have not seen anything about not poking a little fun at Tebow.

Some people need to lighten up. It's sports and just because the media has a Tebow obsession doesn't mean fans can't poke a little fun at him. We poke fun of all kinds of decent people. It's part of being a fan and it is all meant in good fun. There is nothing malicious or evil about taking a swipe at Tebow. Just because he is Tim Tebow doesn't mean he is somehow above reproach or to be treated with kid gloves. I actually find THAT more insulting to him than anything else. We are somehow implying that he is too good for the mere mortals who live here in the muck. How dare we make a joke in good fun at Tim Tebow.

I agree with you Swampstick. Everything is done in fun and it is part of being a fan. Now, RollinginPcola, take a look over on volnation if you want to read some things that are offensive about Tebow and even Mark Ingram during his acceptance speech.

i just find it funny how after the game a few ppl asked if we could just not bring his name up at all for a few months but for some reason he keeps on appearing and ppl keep the thread alive. I mean seriously, noone has any room to ever make a comment about how sick they are of hearing about him and then when something is posted about him some of these same ppl are amazingly in the thread saying something about him. Let it die already

Thats crap. Tim wascrying because he lost, and h has a history of being overly emotional and crying. See post game for Ole Miss '08.

Mark was brought to tears after he saw his mother crying. He was holding it together until he hugged her and saw her. He was crying out of joy and happiness. Maybe a little because his father couldnt be there. But not because he lost a game. Two totally different things.

BINGO!:td:

one last thought on Tim Tebow,
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Tebow is a competitor. He wanted badly to lead his team to an undefeated season and a national championship. It was a great disappointment to him. He cried. He wasn't crying because he got beat; he was crying because he failed to lead his team to the pinnacle. I've been there, I've done that.

Mark Ingram cried because of, as has been said here, overwhelming joy at being selected the outstanding football player in the land AND the honor of being the first Heisman winner in Crimson Tide history. He cried because of fulfilled dreams. I've been there, I've done that.

I have nothing but respect for both players.

He also cried because he saw his Momma cry. Been there, done that, too.
