Tebow is a competitor. He wanted badly to lead his team to an undefeated season and a national championship. It was a great disappointment to him. He cried. He wasn't crying because he got beat; he was crying because he failed to lead his team to the pinnacle. I've been there, I've done that.
Mark Ingram cried because of, as has been said here, overwhelming joy at being selected the outstanding football player in the land AND the honor of being the first Heisman winner in Crimson Tide history. He cried because of fulfilled dreams. I've been there, I've done that.
